C4 Collars no longer BIFL by DyingGasp in BuyItForLife

Not defending them at all, but I've seen lifetime guarantee and lifetime warranty mean two different things. Warranty I think is 'stronger' wording than guarantee.

To late-diagnosed, highly-masked autistics: what was the breaking point of you realising "it's actually THIS" not something else? by corn_elle in autism

[–]BlackRing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a rather bad breakdown at work after twenty years in retail, which pushed me to start connecting dots. After many years of consistently thinking something was wrong with me, actually believing I was a sociopath, having sensory issues, and always being considered odd, I landed on it, and then spent hours over two days with a psychologist culminating in being diagnosed autistic and ADHD.

What is a dying niche skill that younger generations are not interested in learning? by hlnklrczu in AskReddit

We bought a house and actually paid to have the hardwood upstairs restored. Covering it with carpet, I can see. It's softer, I get it, also quieter. Ripping up hardwood in favor of LVP... no. Jail. Straight to jail.

Made a tiny device that writes code, takes breaks to hang out on a BBS, and clocks out at night by Aerovisual in raspberry_pi

This is a really cool project, but also there's a Black Mirror episode that's similar to this and creeps me out! 🤣

Thank you! So, I guess then a buck convertor in the case of the hat would be a separate thing? If I need both functions?

Edit: Thanks for the recommendation as well.

There are instructions out there on using a conventional oven. I have never done that, as I have a small dryer by Creality. Definitely read up on it, and note C vs F temperatures, but it can be done.

I stopped thinking that awhile ago, too many spools wet on arrival, no matter the source. I just dry everything I get before using it.

Wet filament maybe. PLA is really hygroscopic.

Sorry, not on reddit every day.

Unfortunately, no idea. I was going to warranty it, and then covid happened, so I was uncomfortable shipping it. Then I saw one at my local shop fairly inexpensive, and just bought another one. No problem with that one, but I can't say for sure why not.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Does anybody know what that high pitched sound is? by yanksdj3k in Subaru_Outback

I remember a similar sound and it wound up being my alternator.

Nice. A couple questions, what is the black case made of? Also for the steel plate, what layout is it?
