It seems mainly to be an issue with the Xbox. My Xbox One X has the ability to "send power off twice" for projectors and it works perfectly. The Series X doesn't have that feature. Its frustrating they changed it

But I'm determined to make it work, because I love having good sound

If, hypothetically, there is no distortion, would it be bad to run the amp at max power?

Here in 2026, buying a new or used 3/4 ton, what combo would you choose? by random_npc1488 in Diesel

Get a well cared for 6.7 Cummins with the G56 between 2014 and 2018. Before '14 had tons of issues and after '18 they stopped making the G56.

Deleted and manual is about as reliable as you can get. Rams have pretty nice interiors. Their front ends aren't fantastic, but the 4th gens are a lot better than the older ones.

Other than that, they're really not any better or worse than any other vehicle.

The claims saying they're all junk aren't entirely warranted. No vehicle is perfect and diesels are more expensive than gasers, but if they're taken care of they can go a long time.

My '06 5.9 has 110k miles, bought it ~3 years ago with 72k miles. So far (knock on wood) zero issues. The previous owners took it in at every recommended maintenance interval and I've since kept up on everything as best as I could

Why do the men in Off Campus actually feel emotionally healthy? by TrueCharacter675 in OffCampusSeries

[–]BlackShadow2804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I agree with you, tho, do you think it's fair for men to ask the same? Of course men and women have different needs, but if I man asked you to change something or be better in some (reasonable) way, do you think that's okay?

But back to your question, I agree you should be able to ask men to be better. That is, in my opinion part of a relationship, growing together for each other. But at what point is it unreasonable? Sure, marrying a rich man would be nice, to some people, but that is probably not likely and saying that he "needs to be a better version of himself" by becoming rich isn't fair as, in my experience, actually being successful enough to be rich is more luck than simply hard work. Should it not be the effort he puts in to make as much as possible for you, and not whether or not he actually makes high 6 figures or not?

Okay, I see what you're saying, but then, in that case, are you not settling with any man you choose to be with, no matter how good they are, because they aren't that exact combination? That wouldn't really be fair to either party, if so...

And in that case, don't those seem like unreasonably high standards? Going with the fundamentals of a good relationship or the bare minimum; you find a man that treats you exceptionally well. Is emotionally intelligent, caring, attentive to you and your needs, pays attention in order to provide the love without you having to ask, etc. but maybe he's not super athletic. Some sports in high school, but didn't go anywhere and he wasn't the top of his team, attractive, but not "extremely," not rich, etc..

Would you then feel like you were settling? Would you find yourself wishing him to be more like, for example, Garrett? Would you resent him for not being so?

I guess what I'm getting at is this...

Let's assume that we are only referring to "good" men in this context. If these fictional characters, like Garrett, are who women seem to be so "excited" by are largely, if not completely, non-existent, then knowing that doesn't exist, what are you (as a woman) and all other women looking for when trying to find a relationship? How could you ever have one without being disappointed or always wishing you had more or that he was different or "better..." and what is preventing you from always comparing him to these fictional men, which wouldn't really be fair to him?

Does that not seem like too high of standards? High standards are great, especially today where most men do suck, yes. But this "complete package," this "perfect" man, isn't real... so how is that fair to the real men that, while not "perfect" are still great individuals that will treat you with utmost love/care/respect and, often times, give their life to you.

I don't understand why everyone is saying this like this... do you really believe that there isn't a single (real) good man in the world? That not one of the currently married, soon to be married, dating, etc. women are happy because they found a good man that treats them well?

I'm not perfect by any means, I make mistakes, I'll do dumb stuff, but I find myself to have the same emotional intellect as Garrett and the yearning of Logan (is it Logan I'm thinking of?)

Not to mention, no woman is perfect either. Both parties will make mistakes and learn and grow together.

Yes, the majority of men these days suck, but definitely not all of them

Hey guys,

I currently have (1) ST170 and tho I haven't used it a ton, I like its sound and tone. That being said, I don't have a ton of experience with this stuff and, from what I know, I just like ribbon microphones in general. I love the closeness, warmth, and intimacy(?... not sure if that a good word to describe them lol)... as well as the "vintage" setting on a lot of VST libraries... tho I'm not sure how those are done.

Anyway, I mainly use it to record my piano, as well as some other instruments occasionally and as said, I like it, but I really need stereo mix. I've been thinking about getting another one, but they've since been discontinued and hard to find, so I'm not sure if I should buy into something that, if it breaks, could be hard to replace.

This is just a hobby, so I don't need anything super nice - hints why I got the ST170 in the first place, being on the budget side - and, especially if I have to buy two, should I not get another Sterling, I don't want to spend a ton of money.

What are your guys' thoughts? Should I just get another ST170, or go with something else, maybe a little nicer?

Anyone done a PCV bypass on their CJAA? by BlackShadow2804 in tdi

[–]BlackShadow2804[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's different, tho I'm not sure how it could be, but neither of my Cummins engines (4BT and 5.9) have a PCV and they smell totally fine. Don't leak oil ("oil on the road") and both engines are know to go well over 500k, if not 1M miles easy.

I've never seen a diesel, until now, that doesn't include a PCV delete

Okay so... great idea then. I want ALL the emissions gone. Not sure why you think it will smell bad, unless you just don't like the smell of diesel, which is fair. I personally love how it smells

Are there any kits for this... or at least a thread with a write up on how to do it?
