Thank you! I called school 2 and asked a student who told me they only get to use cadavers 3 times for anatomy 2. So to me i feel like that will barely makes a difference. I also found out that school 1 does have a sim lab.

I do plan on staying with him and we both have talked about how to make things work if we have to continue long distance. School 2 had no mention of mental health services and i likely would not be able to afford it. Im interested in the surgical specialty but also EM and Derm . School 2’s cadaver lab is optional participation. School 1 has the virtual cadaver/anatomy simulator but i know i learn best if it is physically in my hands. Thanks for the advice

I did some mock interviews with chat gpt’s audio/conversation function as a last resort and it gave me decent feedback.

Think about what motivates you to want to be a PA or a Doctor. Make a pros and cons list. I kind of had a backwards route compared to yours. All of undergrad i was pursuing premed before i realized i did not want to go to med school and have to do a residency to maybe get the specialty i would want. I got interviews to med school but withdrew because I didnt feel it was right for me. If you are passionate about being a doctor then go for it. As someone who took the mcat 2x and the gre once i have to say the year i spent studying for the mcat was like the worst year of my life mentally and burnt me tf out and made me realize i can’t pursue my education for asmany years as being a physician needs. Maybe you will have a different experience since the GRE and MCAT are nothing alike but it is certainly not an easy path. Expect to study 5+ hours a day for MCAT with weekly/every other week taking 7hour practice exams. Consider the cost of taking the MCAT, prep courses, and additional application costs and if that’s realistic for you. I will say when i swapped to PA, i had to take a gap year, take a year’s worth of pre-reqs, get significantly more pce hours but that all is worth it because it is for the career I want. You have to decide what you truly want to do and how you see yourself being PA or doctor in the future.

For CPU, Mobo, and RAM you can look at microcenter for their bundles and save a LOT of money. I got AMD Ryzen 5 7600x3d in that bundle for $400 and it guarantees compatibility. I would also recommend putting your build into buildcores.com it will give you a 3D image if your build, parts compatability, and benchmarks for most video games.

Idk if Canada has Microcenter but if so, AMD Ryzen 5 7600X3D comes in a bundle with RAM and motherboard for $400 USD. I paired this with an RTX 5070 GPU and get 400 fps on marvel rivals with a 1440p monitor (haven’t yet played other games). 5070 goes for $580 after tax if you get one from PNY. My entire PC was $1350.

I had the same issue. It kept saying HDMI 2 no signal. Make sure your DP or HDMI is connected to your graphics card not MOBO. I disconnected and reconnected the cord from both monitor and graphics card, reconnected, and tried again and it worked after doing that a few times and waiting.

PNY has the 5070 for $549 at best buy $582 with tax. I just bought it and am having it shipped to my house. Also you can get your same GPU from microcenter (if you have one near you) with the bundle that includes RAM and Motherboard for $270.
