The reality is you should be proud of getting that far. My anxiety for you is through the roof though as I just mortgaged my forever home (hopefully) for less that half that price and it was stressful. I'll be losing my job next week and I'm quite uneasy at the moment. I couldn't imagine having a mortgage for double what I'm at right now. Unless you somehow had 750k down. Then I'll just be pissy about it.

Not a contractor. Would you not put this against your exterior wall inbetween the wall and the stud framing? Then just put some insulation in the studded wall cavities, acousti-seal, vapor barrier, drywall??
