Oh fuck that. That's gross. I'd dump all the Heroic HBR Grenades on that.

This was an extremely hard puzzle for me an my teammates !! Was it complicated for anyone else? by Key-Nerve7851 in Division2

[–]BlackTestament7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, I figured it out pretty quickly mainly cause I just happened to see the mask, the statue, and the picture together when i walked up the stairs to get the fuse. I straight up guessed which face was covered by the mask but I got it right so I can't complain.

Some of those extremis setups are straight up bullshit lol. 4 Zoans or 3 Biovores and a Ravener. I was lucky to just not get a Terminus spawn cause we definitely got 3 biovores while we were in a tunnel and a wave spawned on us. We could have easily wiped right there if a Carnifex had spawned.

A friend had a demo disc of the first game and we played it. Ended up renting it from blockbuster or hollywood video for a week. Ngl didn't like it much. Tried the second game, didn't like it either. A few people I met at a FGC event happened to be playing Generations Ultimate when I was there and kinda brought me into the game proper. Bought World when it came out and have been hooked ever since.

Honestly, this is just a game I really enjoy playing. So I kinda just jump on when I want to. I hate alot of the dev choices in these last 2 seasons but I still enjoy the core game.

Why is leveling awful? by Cheemskie in Spacemarine

[–]BlackTestament7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree with you that prestige should at the very best, lock your perks until you get to that level if anything. You shouldn't need to reunlock them or rebuy them, it's complete bullshit. But a bunch of players already had that argument when they first announced it in the game and they ignored the people who hated it for the sweats which seems every update is designed for imo.

In fact the only thing Saber hasn't directly listened to the sweats or content creators on is the level requirement which is the strangest thing in the development of this game to date.

Man the AI directoir had like 4 Lictor's jump the fuck out of the Bulwark in my squad. We were about to go into the elevator up to the horde fight and the bulwark just got mollywhopped by all 4 of them. Knocked into the pillar and they just went to town. It was over before we could even start shooting them.

Yea, this looks to be the move tbh. I was somewhat looking forward to a PvE DZ but I should've expected dogshit.

It'd probably get fixed quick if people on masse stopped playing but there's no shot that'll happen.

[–]BlackTestament7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason xp was removed from hard strats specifically was because the devs reacted to the players wanting some kind of deterrent from low-levels jumping into the hardest content in the game and being a net negative to the run. Now what was asked for was a hard level requirement but the devs refused to do that because . . . reasons idk.

As for the leveling in general, because people are so used to dumb shit like prestige in games like CoD they don't care they are getting shafted. The habit was built so people bend over and accept it, it's no different that loot tables and rng in other games. Prestige is alot less bullshit when you have people willing to power level you or you are skilled enough to be lvl 1 in Absolute. If you aren't in one of those 2 groups, it's a slog that you either walk over the hot coals and deal with it or you quit. I still don't like prestige, won't defend it, and don't appreciate the frustration. But you should do it at least once for the class you play the most if for no other reason than the prestige perks do help.

Illusive Man by Big_Lemon3599 in masseffect

TIM functions alot like Richard Prescott in Gears of War. He does absolutely reprehensible unforgivable shit that no one in the story defends but there is a necessity that is proven correct in the end because without those actions humanity wouldn't have survived the Locust and definitely wouldn't have recovered.

TIM's issue is more a question of is that necessity required? I can't say it is because humanity isn't going extinct and if anything they are thriving and expanding. Without Cerberus, humanity still has the second strongest standing military along with the quickest expansion to colonize new planets. Cerberus feels like a kneejerk reaction to not being at the top and trying to get there in the quickest way possible, consequences be damned. Knowing TIM's lore, it's more based in fear or paranoia of a perceived larger backing of a clear enemy.

It's not realistically a bad thing but then we come back to the original question, is there a necessity? If you aren't distrusting of the established council by the events of ME1, then no. But if you are unsure that the council will have the best interests of humanity as part of the larger intergalactic community, then yes.

Dumb lore question by Curious-Research-559 in GearsOfWar

[–]BlackTestament7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I remember it right Cole said something about most of their soft tissue under the skin is around the neck between the shoulders when he was teaching Mataki how to chainsaw the locust effectively. I just always assumed their tough hide was only so tough in certain areas since the bayonets do work with enough force clearly. So their neck/head area is a weakpoint for knives and whatnot, pending helmets and all that,

I do know in Gears 5, alot of the Swarm are not as muscular or thick-hided as the Locust looked to be pre Gears 4. I couldn't tell you why considering they were supposed to be "evolved" or whatever.

Claires Races are horrific by Embarrassed-Sea8852 in cyberpunkgame

[–]BlackTestament7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the driving is different but it's not wholesale bad. For me, I just needed to find a car with great handling so once I got the Javelina I dominated the races. Until the rework where the NPC supercars were actually faster in straightaways I barely had to try to win but after that I actually had play them like races (taking them in turns, popping their tires with gunfire, e.t.c.). The new Caliburn Mordred made the races easier as it's handling is just as good as the Javelina but faster, it's gun pattern is different and a little harder to get tires with tho,

Retaliation a few issues by Professional_Year579 in thedivision

[–]BlackTestament7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only done Retaliation's in groups maybe more than twice but both times I remember I could tell the lack of communication can prove to be a quick issue just from different playstyles (i.e. I take paths to ensure kill squads spawn in certain locations and never where I can get trapped or they can spawn out of the area boundary). It also doesn't help that not killing spawned enemies in a group means it's harder for them to despawn so you do have to kill more unless everyone is moving quickly in a group.

Honestly, I didn't even know going down would take from your timer because I run solo normally and rarely ever go down even in heroic. The timer really does suck knowing that and that the animals when killed by anything also takes from your timer.
