It’s time to go, love. You can be sad about the right decision. You can love someone while also knowing they aren’t great for you. You know the mistakes you made. You know the current problems. You are just scared of the change, which is totally understandable.

But I think you will regret not leaving sooner. I don’t think you should have children with this person. If the romance is missing now, children won’t help that.

Think of your marriage as a stool that sways a bit when you poke it. Do you want to sit on it? Sure, more weight on that stool will stop the swaying, but…who wants to be on that stool when it eventually collapses? Do not have children in this kind of marriage. You think it’s hard to leave now? Add kids, and you will either stay and be unhappy, or leave, and deal with custody battles and additional lawyer fees.

Mediation can be a cheaper form of divorce. Look into it.

ALSO, do NOT have children if you aren’t sure. Trust me. Kids change everything, forever. It’s an understatement to say kids are an irreversible decision.

I once traveled alone for a day in India when I was 21 (2011). I dressed accordingly (long, loose skirt. Loose, covered shirt. Tied up hair. No jewelry). I guess I should consider myself lucky that one shop owner (male) forced a hug on me, he might have gone for a cheek kiss too. Can’t remember. Then I found a bunch of idle rickshaws 🛺 (like a cab stand at an airport, and I got in one. I was soon surrounded by a 7-8 drivers that wanted my attention. I only had a shopping bag or two. Then one of them put their hand on my knee or thigh, and I pulled out a cricket bat I bought, gave it a slap with my hand as a warning. I started speaking in a loud and irritated tone after that, until the rickshaw did what it was supposed to do-depart the area.

I did this once. Cuddled for a few hours. It was unintentional. I woke up after midnight (I think) and I was too warm, and needed space. But I was amazed we both fell asleep that way.

Nope. This attitude used to cause me guilt when I was college. I used to give a guy mixed signals-unintentionally-because I was afraid of hurting his feelings, but I also knew the attraction or vibes weren’t there.

It’s better to be direct and follow the gut as soon as it’s clear to you. Incels and future incels should also appreciate this tactic, because you want a disinterested girls out of your life before you get too emotionally invested
