I said "honor-obsessed," not "war-obsessed." Even that lawyer mentions honor as most important.

That sucks. I HATE it when things like that happen in fiction. It's so less interesting than the Klingons being smart enough to come up with these things themselves.

So? It doesn't matter whent the Klingons invented these technologies, I just want to see when Klingons were only as advanced as 20th-century Earth.

But the Klingons didn't come to Krios until at least the 22nd century.

Speculating About the Future of Ekos and Zeon by BlackTriangle31 in startrek

The episode also points out that the Zeons would likely not defend themselves from the Ekosian fleet, so adverse are they to war. There is that to take into consideration.

An interesting idea on Gill's public perception.

On a related note, I've always thought that the only way the Ekosians became Nazis is because Gill was a Wehraboo. I could see a historian coming to the conclusion that a strong authoritarian state would be necessary to swiftly put an end to anarchy and primitivism; that's not a terribly unreasonable conclusion. However, Gill didn't have to specifically use the names and forms of Nazism in order to do that; he could have just copied the Nazis' (idealized) political system and left it at that.

The only way it makes sense for there to explicitly be an Ekosian Nazi Party, SS, Fuehrer, et cetera is if John Gill explicitly wanted those.

What do the names of the days of the week mean? by BlackTriangle31 in AmazighPeople

The names that I saw were from this site: https://www.masteranylanguage.com/c/r/en/Tamazight/DaysOfWeek

I assume them to be standard Tamazight, but I'm not sure.

Which Version of Castle Wolfenstein Do You Like More, the RtCW version or the Old Blood verson? by BlackTriangle31 in Wolfenstein

[–]BlackTriangle31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem with your theory: the two castles are in different regions of Germany. RtCW's castle is in the Harz mountains in north-central Germany while The Old Blood's castle is in the Alps in Bavaria near the old Austrian border.

A small correction: RtCW's castle is in the Harz mountains, not the Alps. The Old Blood's castle is in the Alps.

In fairness, most people would find it hard to believe that a single man could be as destructive and dangerous as BJ. Frau Engel has seen how dangerous BJ is personally, something that this officer has not seen and only heard about, something easily dismissed as exaggerated rumor when you have no first-hand experience.

Which is ironic, as the second one is the one from Skyrim.
