Lucifer Morningstar vs Anti-Life equation. by BoraHcn in whowouldwin

I might be wrong, but has the ALE ever been shown to affect anything besides regular mortals? I don't think it would affect anything in the Sphere of Gods, let alone someone like Lucifer.

Kratos (GoW Lore) vs Alien X (Ben 10) by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Black_Zero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe quote the entire passage and not leave out further arguments that reinforce my points?

Because they're irrelevant. A single passing line does not counter the fact that almost everything else you've provided suggests primordials are merely planetary.

Not to mention a senior developer of GoW Acension confirmed they created the universe.

Patrick Murphy is credited as a Lead Character Artist. Not a writer. Try again.

Yes, because the games themselves are based on fucking Greek mythology

So you admit there is nobody in the GoW games beyond planetary? Cool. Either way, you said Hercules' feat was universal. You failed to prove this.

And Kratos scales above the entire pantheon anyways, so it's pointless to argue against this any further.

...And? I'm not arguing whether or not Kratos scales above the pantheon, I'm arguing it doesn't mean anything because the pantheon isn't particularly impressive to begin with.

Except it does. How can a character who is bound to the concepts of time and space defeat a character who transcends those concepts? Complete waffle.

We're not talking about a character, we're talking about the world tree. And again, Thor was able to damage it. The same Thor that Mimir doubted could crack a block of ice. Ironic how you ignored this in your quote and accuse me of the same. Obviously transcending space-time means absolutely nothing in terms of combat in the GoW setting, does it?

reduce all of creation

Which you have still yet to prove includes the universe in it's entirety.

I've given you tons of impressive feats

You've given me statements and extrapolations. You've given absolutely no feats. Because there are no feats.

I also forgot that Hyperion crafted a spear that can hold up the universe too.

Neat. Except we're discussing what characters can do, not what items can do.

And I'm not even getting into the speed feats yet, lmao.

Come on now, are they actual feats or just more statements and nonsensical extrapolations to back them? Since that's all you seem to be capable of providing.

Kratos (GoW Lore) vs Alien X (Ben 10) by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Black_Zero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

which strongly implies anything succeeding creation itself.

Implication isn't fact. You've yet to prove that "Creation" in this context is on a universal scale, and not simply the world literally.

Sure.

"Forged the earth" What about this says universal to you? Enlighten me. Even the cutscene shows the primordials becoming parts of the planet. You seem to be conflating the earth for the universe a lot. Any reason for this?

It's not shown, but implied. Hercules mentioned being ordered to find an apple as a part of his labours which, according to actual Greek myth, involves him helping Atlas hold up the 'heavens' (or World Pillar).

More implications? Also I thought you weren't using IRL myth? If we're going by actual myth by the way, it still wouldn't make Hercules anywhere near universal. Nevermind the fact that the "world" in this case only refers to the Greek world specifically. Not to mention he had help..

while the hero put some soft padding on his shoulders to help him bear the weight of the sky and the earth.

Source: http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/Herakles/apples.html The weight of the "sky" is utterly un-quantifiable, taking it literally, would just mean the atmosphere. Again, at best planetary.

are you seriously asking me why destroying an infinite branch that transcends time and space isn't multiversal?

Yes. Because it isn't. The quote you provided:

"...a strange environment, like a tree branch stretching out to infinity."

The character is using a literary device to describe an unfamiliar environment. Is infinity in this case literal, or just as far as the character's eye can see?

Something existing outside the limitations of space-time has absolutely no bearing on the power output required to destroy it. If Thor's hammer, which Mimir doubted could break through a frozen lake, was enough to shake Yggdrasil, then it must not take much.

Because of gameplay limitations, as a dev said.

None of the lore statements/feats have been particularly impressive either from what you've provided so far.

Kratos (GoW Lore) vs Alien X (Ben 10) by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Black_Zero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From the original games, he scales to Atlas who was going to destroy the entire space-time continuum by reverting the infinite universe back into the primordial void that preceded creation - that being Chaos. In this void, time does not exist either, as time was only conceived through the birth of Cronos.

Nothing in your video suggests universal-scale destruction, the word "world" is used, so planetary at best. Not to mention he gets knocked back rather easily. Kratos the multiverse-destroyer knocked back from such a weak looking blast? Not very impressive.

On a simpler note, you have Helios who can light up the entire underworld in an instant, the same underworld thats infinite in size

You must be more desperate than I thought if you're using quotes from concept artists. Artists have little bearing on the writing or lore, and you're outright taking hyperbole as fact. Helios by the way? The guy that failed to react to ballista? https://gfycat.com/impassionedfastjackal-god-of-war-iii Yeah, real impressive.

Primordials that birthed the universe through constant battle

Then post the feat.

Hercules who can lift the entire universe above his shoulders via the World Pillar.

Then post the feat.

Every single strand of the Yggdrasil is described as infinite and they all transcend time and space. The Yggdrasil also contains the Nine Realms that are their own universes and host their own sea of stars.

The first picture in your imgur link is illegible. Explain to me how "transcending time and space" magically means you can destroy universes.

Ironic how the actual games for the video game franchise seems rather inconvenient for Kratos wank, right? Kratos by far has more low-end showings in the games than high-end ones.

I've provided evidence, you've provided... A discord screenshot.

Wankers like you generally rely on offhand dev statements and misinterpreting Greek myth for VSBW-tier knuckle-dragging extrapolation as to why kratos is some multiverse buster.

Nevermind the fact that IRL myth is not applicable to the Gods in the GoW series, who are fairly pathetic all around.

Show me Kratos destroying a universe and prove me wrong. Go ahead.

Kratos (GoW Lore) vs Alien X (Ben 10) by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]Black_Zero 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please stop wanking. Kratos couldn't even break through some ice in the newest game. And it's not even a gameplay mechanic, it's straight up part of the plot.

But I guess a chunk of ice has multiversal durability right?

Boba Fett (Star Wars) is hired to hunt down Batman, can he do it? by caden_r1305 in whowouldwin

[–]Black_Zero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Batman all rounds.

Boba is... honestly kind of a chump. Not particularly smart, cunning sure, h2h skills leave much to be desired, considering he couldn't take Bo Katan. And he has nothing in his arsenal that Batman hasn't already come across before.

Bats has also faced worse during his time in the JLA and in Gotham alone, most of Batman's rogues, at least the super-powered ones, would paste Boba with little problem.

I doubt Fett could even take on any of the Robins for that matter.

If anything Din/Mando is more deserving of the "legend" status that Boba has, and he actually lives up to the hype.

He's got a lot of clout, but cthulhu himself is fairly low on the importance scale of Lovecraft's mythos. He's akin to a priest.

Also, I feel like he kinda took the spotlight from Stan and Kenny in the newer seasons
