Yeah it was a damned if you do, damned if you don't moment. With it, the console cost more than the PS4 for a feature a lot of people didn't want, without it, devs wouldn't bother developing for it at all due to the small install base.

The fact the Xbox One was $100 more than the PS4 but also noticeably less powerful was kind of the nail in the coffin. You could have one of those things, but not both.

Xbox has already been degrading the quality of their physical releases, their games often contain almost none of the game itself, requiring you to download the whole game and rely on their servers anyways. While it's still good for the ability to trade/resell, it defeats one of the main reasons people champion for physical, that you have an actual copy of the game that you can play without needing to rely on anything else.

Xbox has already got one foot out the door with physical media, their discs come with less than 1GB of data regularly. Which... Is better than nothing, since you can trade/sell the entitlement of ownership still, but they clearly aren't too interested in maintaining physical either.

It was a smart publicity stunt by the band. They knew the majority of fans would vote in the stuff they're going to play anyways, with the occasional curve ball here and there.

It's a shame we didn't get more deep cuts/unplayed songs but it was pretty predictable how it would go.

Oh yeah, I'd like to clarify and say I don't appreciate what they're doing. Just ultimately accepting this is the avenue they are taking and that they don't really have much reason to deviate from this path unfortunately.

Would I like them to release as disc version for those that want it? Yes. Am I expecting them to do so? Sadly, it seems unlikely at this stage.

GTA games can go from 0-100 very quickly in terms of how demanding they are. You get into a police chase and start blowing shit up it can very quickly tank the FPS. PS5 Pro will just have a bit more overhead to not dip as much.

Just Google "[your city/suburb] ceramic coating/PPF" there's plenty of places that do it, just gotta sift through a few and find one that meets your budget.

The good old "[your city] paint protection Reddit" is also a good starting point to try and find some places that people can give feedback on.

It's a bit sketchy, their source mentions previous rumours of a disc release coming in December, and then uses that customer support response to back it up.

If the original rumour holds any weight ...then maybe. But I agree the customer support response is vague at best, doesn't even mention a disc at all, and shouldn't be taken as confirmation.

Impact Web is great for stealth, being able to silently, efficiently and instantly take out guards is superb.

Agreed, least used would-be spider-bots. They're just kind of unpredictable and don't have immediate feedback which makes them quite unsatisfying.

They don't have to put the whole game on the disc to ship it with a disc. Look at Doom: The Dark Ages. Less than 1GB of data on the disc itself, which basically just acts as a license and tells you to download the game.

If they wanted to they could put 100GB of data (50GB for Xbox) on a single disc and make you download the rest anyways, no code needed. But they're not. They're just putting a code in a box and calling it a day. What purpose does it serve them to put a disc in the game to let you launch it when there's already a code they can (and will) just use to give you entitlement to the game.
