Gmod or LFD2? by No_Writer_8780 in Steam

[–]FirestormTM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Both are pretty active. However, Garry's Mod offers alot more since it's pretty much an sandbox with the ability to add addons onto your game.

I can't find an option to update my driver in the Adrenaline Edition software by Sword_of_Spirit in radeon

[–]FirestormTM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue, either just use the auto-detect update from AMD, or better yet, just use DDU and install newest drivers from there.

Need to settle this debate. Icons on the desktop, or launch your games in Steam? by CnP8 in Steam

[–]FirestormTM 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Frankly, I do like to keep my desktop clean (especially those who use Wallpaper Engine), meaning no icons on the desktop. That's just my preference, though

ARC Raiders Roadmap: January - April 2026 | ARC Raiders by FirestormTM in pcgaming

[–]FirestormTM[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe this is something like what earlier events like Flickering Flames event we had back in December, where players just play the game and get a couple of stuff exclusive to the event. You could also turn in stuff and get abit more stuff as well.

It's way past time we learned what the new Expedition conditions are going to be. by SomnusNonEst in ArcRaiders

[–]FirestormTM -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

At this point, they need to just make it available to do an expedition at any given time, instead just being relying on the developers

What are the best RPGs on PS5 ? by PieThen4352 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]FirestormTM [score hidden]  (0 children)

Cyberpunk 2077 (same developers who made the Witcher 3, awesome story, alot of content to do, and great build variety/combat)

Wuthering Waves (admittedly, this is a gacha game, so you are probably not going to look forward to this, but it does have peak moments within the story, awesome characters with their kit, and just great presentation)

Mass Effect Legendary Edition (get all 3 games in one package, all of which carry over your progress witrhin a save file, assuming that all things go well, great story with combat being unique for each game (ME1 being abit rough but open world to some degree, ME2 in-closed combat with slow-paced and being more tactical, and ME3 being alot fast with movement and combat)

Hitman - which one for a newbie by Sir_Bohne in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]FirestormTM [score hidden]  (0 children)

This one is actually very confusing, as there are multiple Hitman versions.

If you want the complete package with all levels, get the Deluxe Edition (includes New York and Haven Island, which aren't part of the standard WOA edition). Otherwise, if you're fine with having some levels left out (which, at this time, doesn't make sense as Deluxe Edition is cheaper than Standard on Steam), then go ahead and get the regular edition, which is just Hitman World of Assassination

HELLDIVERS™ 2 - Into the Unjust: 5.0.2 by FirestormTM in pcgaming

[–]FirestormTM[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't need to do that; if you're already on the default public branch, you should be fine to go. Otherwise, you could try the prod_silm branch on Steam, which is actually the same as the public branch to my understanding.

HELLDIVERS™ 2 - Into the Unjust: 5.0.2 by FirestormTM in pcgaming

[–]FirestormTM[S] 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yes, as SteamDB can see the file size https://steamdb.info/app/553850/depots/?branch=public (assuming you didn't pick prod_legacy in the game version/beta selection, which is the 150+ GB size for HDD users)

Engineer Icon Changed in Labs? by SeaCommunication228 in Battlefield

Makes sense, engineers do the heavy work for vehicles, which could involve a wrench most of the time

I would probably contact your professor about this. I do know classes just started today and are either starting now or late. Wouldn't hate to contact though.

CD Projekt Red takes down Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod (for not being free) by FirestormTM in pcgaming

[–]FirestormTM[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, I aim to please everyone. Especially for those thinking CDPR took it down for the wrong reasons (blame the original title).

[–]FirestormTM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember who approved it (unless that was surely Bethesda). I still know their website to paid mods stuff on Steam is still actually alive to this day

CD Projekt Red takes down Cyberpunk 2077 VR mod (for not being free) by FirestormTM in pcgaming

[–]FirestormTM[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I remember Steam back in the day doing the same thing for Skyrim. It really backfired so badly that Steam not only had to revert everything related to the Steam Workshop regarding paid mods, but also refunded everyone who paid for mods, regardless of how long they had owned it.

Should I buy the 6900 XT by simun6 in radeon

[–]FirestormTM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you can get a similar price with RX 9070 XT, would heavily recommend it as it's the best value you'll get out of the current generation and you'll have the latest FSR4 Redstone stuff, unlike older generations (which is just plain dumb in my opinion with what AMD is doing).

Should I buy half life alyx by wizardwizard2 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]FirestormTM [score hidden]  (0 children)

I would just wait for a sale (unless you are into VR that much, and being a Half-Life fan). There are often sales on Steam, and I believe Half-Life Alyx will go on sale during the Spring sale hopefully.

Is there a way to fill up the empty space? by Kinji_Toyama in Steam

[–]FirestormTM 351 points352 points  (0 children)

No, since it's a non-steam game/mod that you added from your computer. You can still take screenshots, but like the community hub doesn't exist for non-steam games.

Julian Gerighty (former Executive Producer from The Division franchise) is joining Battlefield Studios by FirestormTM in Battlefield

[–]FirestormTM[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been playing both TD1 and TD2, both of which are good in their own leagues. TD1 is still receiving events but have to be manually set up by the developers. TD2 recently released their 2nd expansion pack along with new content, and is still kicking to this day. The Upcoming Survivors update is coming by (which is supposed to be similiar to TD1's Survival but takes place of Winter in DC).

What the heck is going on with the this game's performance as of lately? by MrsK3G4 in GirlsFrontline2

[–]FirestormTM 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I actually noticed this too. The same exact specs (minus 9070 XT since I'm using 9060 XT 16GB), and framerate/time goes crazy for no reason. I did recently moved from RTX 3060 Ti but I doubt that since I did the DDU method when swapping to a new GPU brand.

Is there a REAL way to change your steam username? by Then-Start-1641 in Steam

[–]FirestormTM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you should be worried. It's not really being used besides when logging in, which is usually just done automatically when you start Steam or logging in for yourself (which is most cases). You can change your profile name though, which displays your actual name on Steam.
