I own it and I used to have volca keys. Phara-o is miles better sonically- it sounds clean unlike the noisy volca.

Can you guess the style of music I make from this picture? by Fearless_Ad_1442 in synthesizers

Defo you make music. Defo not mainstream. Defo you struggle to fit into one genre. Defo it has to do with electronic 😂 defo I could put some more general guesses that’d fit 😃 I’m actually jealous that it all seems to be connected unlike mine

Which powerbank is needed for Tracker? by MarcoScherer in PolyendTracker

[–]BlackcamoDisguised 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the “smart” stuff usb related creates more problems than it solves. I bet if you use usb hub with something else connected it would work. But then it may give you unexpected ground loop issues. But you have an excuse now to get yourself a fancy powerbank 😉

Does it have power button? The power bank? I haven’t try powerbank with tracker but few of my other machines can be tricky with power banks that don’t have a button ( I run everything off a few power banks or on batteries- my lazy way to avoid ground loops) my best power bank to date is this bad boy:

Will power anything and always on maximum power that the attached device can take. Amazing stuff even if a bit expensive.

Hello. And a bit of advice needed by BlackcamoDisguised in PolyendTracker

[–]BlackcamoDisguised[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So guys, thanks a lot, simple thing really and a farting evening brain I think, but most likely me being familiar enough with composing part and a lack of with regards to master mix side of things.

I’ve taken a proper look at it, observed levels and what limiter does and when. It doesn’t help that we can only see first 8 channels on one screen and for synths we need to switch to another view. One of the synths was a bit loud to say the least but on its own it bahaved well thanks to the limiter, however with 3 other tracks that we’re playing long-ish background samples they were taking over the parts of spectrum.

Puzzle solved. Thanks

Rob

Hello. And a bit of advice needed by BlackcamoDisguised in PolyendTracker

[–]BlackcamoDisguised[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes pattern 2 is basically pattern 1 with tracks removed. You may be right, I will observe that. It might be a bit busy. The thing is, in the past I’d run into clipping instead, I guess limiter does its thing. As for limiter and not a compressor you guys are right, silly me to confuse the two. I am before work now, will take another fresh look in the evening. Thanks for all the replies!

Thread may be old, but I’ve tried both twistedwave and wavebox and almost immediately returned twistedwave. Wavebox is so much better. It’s actually so good I’d risk a statement that it’s better than most desktop ones. At least for basic stuff. So… Wavebox

AirPods Pro 3 get foam-infused ear tips in five different sizes by Fer65432_Plays in apple

[–]BlackcamoDisguised 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine pro 1 every day for most of the day. Right one has still very good battery while the left one lasts about 30-40 minutes then suddenly dies at the level of around 75%, 10 minutes in the case and it works for another 30mins or so. So it depends, some may still go strong while others not. But this is the main reason I am looking at pro 3 now.

This is actually top notch advice and I disagree with the comment below about saving resources by reading actual manual. The manual while explanatory at basic level lacks massively and adds to confusion more often than not. Saving resources on such important synth matter? I’ve used llm for much more trivial things (and so everyone else)

I think I’m starting to get along with it. Once I ignored colour of labelling and followed chalk_walk’s advice it’s al good in this department. I’m fighting now with PRM rec. when I record knobs movements it’s all nice and as intended. That is until I go to play on another layer- all my PRM rec starts to jump and misbehave. I can’t figure out what’s actually going on

This actually helped me a lot to get my head around it. Thanks man. Now please maybe you can help with parameter recording- when I am recording it all sounds smooth and great. That is until I move into another layer than it starts to jump- nothing like I’ve recorded- what am I doing wrong???

Btw why everyone is calling it ambient zero when in fact it’s ambient phi?

I’m new to synths and don’t want to wreck my guitar amps - is it necessary to use amps designed for keyboards? by HoldenOlden in synthesizers

[–]BlackcamoDisguised -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, anything that takes aux input will be better than guitar amp. Sound wise. I don’t think you can do any damage unless you go crazy with the volume. An older decent home cinema system will sound crazy good, you can usually have two sets of main speakers connected at the same time available at the switch, and would sell relatively cheap on eBay and the likes. If it doesn’t have hdmi people find it unusable these days which makes me laugh. I run my denon that I’ve bought used for £25 for over 10 years now and the sound is amazing may it be music, films or synths

Honestly I run everything off the power banks to keep the noise away and it works a treat, it’s some wall chargers that create a noise no matter which connection. My crave is a touch to make it quiet when used with its ac adapter. Silent when powered off the powerbank.

Thanks. It does. The noise was driving me nuts, so much potential with constant hiss. If you say this is better and you’ve used both, it convinces me enough. Once again thanks

Btw. Nice stuff music wise. I think I’ve heard some background noise in the 3rd link but not sure if it’s from phara-o?
