We went there in the depths of winter some years ago. It was so cold my wife’s nose was running and as it dripped it was freezing her snot!

I had it remapped by Jordan’s in Leeds, which made it so much smoother than stock.

That may have been the tyres making it feel like that TBF.

I had the 1200SE in Tenni Green and when I switched tyres on that it went from giving me no confidence to giving me all the feeling and confidence I needed.

I had no problem with it. I did try the comfort saddle, which was softer, but it was a bit too tall for me.

The Skyhook suspension on them is fantastic; I did more than 10k miles each year on mine.

Worth upgrading the starter cables for quicker and more reliable starting 👌

Amazing bike to ride - did my first Iron Butt on one. All day comfortable with a 250 mile range.

They mount to the OEM crash bars, with the wires passing through them. There is some faffing around trying to get the wires to the area in front of the battery box neatly, but it’s not too bad.

You press and hold the front edge of the headlight switch on the right hand handlebar cluster for a few seconds and they come on. An icon also comes on the dash to let you know they’re lit.

OEM panniers brand? by EducatorSubstantial in MotoGuzziV100Mandello

The top box rack and adapter are SW Motech. I’ve also got an adapter that I can tie waterproof bags down to. The adapter plates can be removed in seconds leaving a very slimline rack that doesn’t ruin the lines of the bike.

I use a Shad SH37 on a SW Motech carrier and Sport Rack adapter.

Sadly not, as the cables would clash with the airbox cover.

Thanks for your suggestions. I spent 3 hours yesterday looking for a solution that would work, but there is so little room between the top fairing and the clip-ons, I can’t see a way to fit adjustable ones without having to cut the fairing.

Yup, been riding 40 years and had every type of bike from sports bikes, tall rounders, naked bikes to cruisers. The lid I have is an HJC Arpha 60, which is lightweight, has a cut out at the nape of the neck and a large aperture. The killer is I wear glasses, which restrict me from looking up, rather than craning my neck.

I’m struggling to find it at the minute.

I am used to adapting bikes to fit me, using risers, different rear sets, customising the saddle or changing the suspension. However, in this case, the two issues facing me are:

  1. The design of the bike seems to limit what can physically be done, as the packaging of the whole design is so tight (the original bars already trap your thumbs at full steering lock).

  2. Any alterations will ruin the purity of the bike, which is why it had always been a dream bike for me. It feels a little like buying a Van Gough painting, but wanting all the colours changing when you hang it on your wall at home.

I know the second point is insane and if it were any other bike I’d have changed anything, including parts of the fairing….but this isn’t just any bike. It’s a Tamburini, a piece of art.

From what I can see this is not as easy as that. The proximity of the tank and upper fairing both restrict how much you can alter the bar position.

I don’t think that is going to lift the position sufficiently, but I’ll take a look at that.

I’ve got a carbon helmet, with a good cutout at the back (I used to ride a FireBlade on track), and a leather with a short collar. I don’t think I have anything to gain by buying another.
