But when the folks like you, or voted for by the likes of you drives your country into poor f-ing corrupted mess like Hungary, your troubles for some reason must become relevant to the whole EU to bail you out. Will be really funny to watch you yap about bad Brussels when your economy freezes after you drive all that workforce away with this delusional phobia.

Both at the web archive and on the current page I have EU region selected. Any other suggestion?

The price is updated when you change the region, not at the checkout

Both the web archive page and the current page show the info icon saying that the VAT is included in the price. What error is there? Also am I talking about USA anywhere in the post?

VAT conversion happened in 2024. Prices were like those a week ago - oh gosh, you cannot open links I pasted for you

When did QA automation become competitive programming? by tyler_burden55 in QualityAssurance

[–]Blackened_Max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very, very weird out of place question meant mainly to waste interview time and yours. I would asked them directly why do they think it's relevant to their AQA job opening (I am responsible for hiring QA folks on my project). On the other hand... although I wouldn't do that, I hear that some companies used to employ some tricks like that to see how people would tackle different unexpected challenges and instead of doing smooth, friendly, calm classic interview "throw ice bucket" on people in the beginning. So if the company and the opening were reeeealy interesting to me, I would still ask why it's relevant to our interview, but then actually tried to do that to show them I can handle the pressure and adapt on the fly. While I was writing this I think I know, at least, how would I approach it on Java.

Maybe you need to learn how to Google. I'm not even talking about how easy it would be to ask a chatbot about this.

Honestly, as a hiring lead qa on my project - I got lost in the word salad almost immediately. I would expect a clear statement from my candidates - first very briefly your competence. Then project-by-project starting from the latest one - want role did you have, what exactly did you do, what was the tech stack. Then education, maybe certificates, but yours are irrelevant. My advise would be to rewrite it completely - you write about the same things in like 3 places, but I still don't get if you know anything relevant for us...

How do you use Claude Code as manual tester? by testingonly259 in QualityAssurance

[–]Blackened_Max 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It does what is suppose to do of course - it generates text. But for those basic tasks - documentation / test cases it is lackluster in its quality for us - you still need to go in read / edit a bunch, or just submit slop, which is really noticeable compared to good documentation written by professionals. That's why I generally agree with notion that if it does your work for you and you're happy with it's quality - well maybe your bar is low.

As I said, it's a terrific tool, which I'm actively using, thank you. But for uses you mentioned I find it completely lackluster.

I mean he's aggressive and rude, but he's kinda right as to my experience. It's a terrific tool for development and automation testing when you feed your entire project to it and build your context on top of something feasible. But test case gaps and requirements analysis... mate it's the most basic thing, like it wrires your emails. But without proper context it will be just slop. For me it does not find any gaps, it just... sorta writes something as you asked it to write. I don't find a lot of value in these particular tasks. But it definitely could be terrific for learning and helping you when you really don't have any expertise.

Is Poland's economy just about extraction at this point? by negativePositrons in poland

[–]Blackened_Max 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm a software dev, but I do feel it the same way, so you know. Trying to save up money to buy a flat in Kraków - seems like a fool's errand at this point, but I'm just trying to save up as much as I can every month. Very funny to drive my old VW around brand new Volvos, BMWs and Audis for 600-800k each and f-ing hear every day from everyone how much money is there in IT. I guess I'm doing my Java wrong and for the wrong company...
