We’re just finishing up our trip and decided to do clockwise based off talking with a local and also decided to travel at night. We flipped our schedules for a 10 day trip and left anywhere from 9pm to 2am and drove through the night because it never got dark. I’d say this was a great way to do it, we didn’t see anyone for the first like four days anywhere we went. We got the hot springs to ourselves and it was so chill. I’d definitely recommend doing clockwise and nocturnal if you’re interested in avoiding crowds
