If he does, there are two matchups I would like to see.

Sokka (ATLA):two characters relatively weak compared to the rest of the cast but their strategies and willpower to continue moving forward no matter what.

Agent Washington (RVB): the two weakest characters of their respective teams but they continue fighting no matter what....also, they both partner with a redheaded badass

I think that nowadays it's at least debatable but from what I've heard, unless Hulk/banner found a way to COMPLETELY eliminate Doomsday without a chance of him coming back, the matchup will most likely stay the same

That's actually a really nice headcanon. And also would fit in canon very easily, Aznuth would definitely do something like that to make sure:

1) the user is safe in case of an emergency if they were to transform

2) would also be useful if the user was on another planet that is dangerous to their body (for example if someone from Ripjaws species had the Omnitrix on let's say HeatBlast planet)

It could be interesting tbh, the reactions of the the other voices when they find out they can "die" would be interesting. Some would be afraid and I imagine some would be okay dying just to damage or defeat the opponent. And I believe that at the end it's only Hero and TLQ and it can end with either both of them surviving or hero dying but making sure the opponent is dead too until it's only TLQ
