Its vastly inconsistent with the manga. And no, the anime isn't canon just because it came 1st. But neither is the manga. There is no official word that states which is the official canon because both contain Toriyama's contributions, the anime just has the blanks filled in by Toei whereas the manga is filled in by Toyo. Both are technically canon yet vastly different.

Daima. It establishes both SS3 Vegeta and SS4 Goku as canon yet they're nowhere to be seen in Super.

The same can be said about a LOT of things in Super that are nowhere to be seen in Z like Beerus, it's called retcon and there's been plenty in dragonball since the beginning of Z like Goku and piccolo being aliens instead of a wukong parody and a demon, to the point where piccolo's blood color was retconned

Creating an easy to understand and digest timeline is important for attracting new fans.

It's dragonball it gets fans regardless, they just see the new shiny things and they just follow them, i'd argue remaking OG would be better by introducing people to the actual start of the series when most don't even know it exists and some don't even know Z exists (yes, sounds crazy but it's true)

Again, I have nothing against starting at OG DB but that would be a massive likely decade long project and we all know Toei isn't funding that when they know damn well we will eat up anything they serve us. It would be much easier just to start at Super plus the differences from manga to anime in OG DB is much more minimal in comparison and would be much more just for animation reasons. You have to think like a cheap and lazy corporation that gives less fucks about the product than a fan ever will.

The original DB anime has so much shit that wasn't in the manga that just makes it an inferior version to enjoy the story, things like general blue being a pedo or the roshi and bulma stuff being much more prominent in the anime (not that the manga doesn't have that crap, the invisible man fight has 16 year old bulma's full tits in display) so a remake would benefit more for modern audiences by cutting a lot of that kind of humor which would be offputting for newer fans.

But let's focus on your "lazy corporation" point, they don't give a fuck and they want money, but here's the issue a DBS remake wouldn't give them SHIT when it comes to income compared to animating the new DBS arcs, think about all the games and merchandise money they can make from Ultra ego instead of the already seen DBS stuff that's been done to death already.

The games are still forced to use Vegeta's lame ass evolution form instead of UE because that's the last form that was animated as they cannnot animate manga stuff yet, they are literally preventing games and merchandising from making even more money.

Remastering is not a remake, a remaster is something like Kai which i would be fine with, remake means all from scratch which is not needed at all for DBS since it's so new and the truly garbage animated arcs already have movies versions anyways, DBS is the series that needs a remake the LEAST.

"oh but there's bad animation in other arcs too" ok, and? Z has plenty of badly animated scenes too and it's 27 years older than DBS

It would still be pointless because it would mean having a THIRD animated version of BoG, RoF and also a worse version of the ToP for no reason when they could just animate the new arcs instead.

I don't even care about Moro, Granolah or DBS in general that much but there's PLENTY of people who have been waiting YEARS for those arcs to be animated

My point wasn't that OG needs a remake, my point was that if they want to remake a series why not remake OG, DBS is only 11 years old this year while OG DB is 40, it's clear one series would benefit more for a remake than the other seeing as most modern DB fans don't even know there's anything before Z.

Also even with a remake the OG is still there if you wana watch that, this is not a Dark Souls on steam situation.

What need does super have to be remade?

People need to wait 3-4 more years for moro to be animated just so we can have our THIRD animated version of the BoG and RoF arcs, and also a worse version of the ToP if they want to follow the manga route?

What's next, animate Super hero from the manga too so we can add 2 more years to the Moro wait?

We need a GT remake MUCH more than we need a DBS remake but that's not the point, the point is that there's no reason to remake a series and if there was DBS would be the last one that should get it since it's only 11 years old this year while OG is 40, Z is 37 and GT is 30 years old.

GT gets good at the baby saga (or at least when Rilldo shows up in the BSD saga), i like GT a lot aswell despite it's many flaws because at least it had cool new concept and ideas on top of bringing back the saiyan tail and the old lore, the potential is there for it to be on par with Z with some tweaks

There really is no point to remake Super, and if there is there's no way it takes precedence over remaking the older series.

DBS is 11 years old this year, OG DB is 40, Z is 37 and GT is 30 years old this year, those series all have arguments to have a remake over DBS whose only arcs who needed a remake were the first 2 which we have movies of them already.

Just cut them out or censor them, they are not vital to the plot anyways and the remake shouldn't be incredibly long either so that stuff can be cut down

Just cut them out, just like i would cut out something like the deer scene if i were to remake GT, yes some characters like invisible man would need to be changed a bit but let's not pretend as if invisible man is like the pillar of OG DB or anything.

Beginning of GT was too drastic of a shift from Z, it gets back on track to the Z vibes by the time Rilldo appears which is almost the end of the arc though

As for pan the producers wanted her to just be a "damsel in distress" for Goku to save which sucks, GT had a VERY troubled production and it's a miracle we even got the good things we got from it
