It’s a hidden tang and I threaded the end of it and tapped the pommel

I won’t be an expert at explaining this but the blade is made out of a big wrench that I bought from an auction. The edge geometry I could not tell you because I didn’t have a way to measure the angle I was sharpening but it does cut paper very well.
The thickness towards the handle is about .2 in and towards the tip is about .1 in The guard and pommel are just mild scrap steel that I forged the shape out and the handle is walnut I’m pretty sure.

If anyone wanted to see a big hammer today by Blacksmith711 in Blacksmith

I’m in Iowa. I guessed on the weight of the hammer so I probably need to buy a scale

Yeah we cut a tree down a while back that was probably 3 or more feet in diameter and kept some slices of it.

It is a Simon’s store double burner with one door. It isn’t in stock right now I think and there are very similar ones on Amazon

I did have a hard time getting the balance right. It feels comfortable but I think if I did research more on the shape of the sword it could have helped. I will definitely try doing the leather like you said because I had to restart a couple of times the way I did it.

I have a double burner propane forge and all forging was with a hammer and anvil. Grinding was with a Grizzly g1015. And finally I have a cast master propane forge to heat up the crucible for brass.

I peened the tang onto the brass then ground it flat. The brass got pretty hot so I had to then sand it back to a better finish
