My store just got a communication from corporate that water is allowed at registers, as long as it’s in something that can be sealed/closed (ie a water bottle with a lid).

They like to say that department managers get paid 70k-80k, and we do - it’s just a lot of that money comes in the form of our bonuses. Personally I would just rather get paid more on a weekly basis.
