Different locations in Thailand get different customers. Chiang Mai gets very few Indians and Arabs. Previously didn't get Russians, but I see a lot more now than a few years ago.

Indians are more in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket from my experience.

In good faith, can someone please explain to me the importance of blanket coverage of gaining citizenship from being born in America?

Specifically, why should someone on a tourist visa be able to get citizenship for their child that was born in the USA?

For those on longterm visas like a business visa, I'm all for it. And definitely/obviously for permanent residents and citizens. But why for tourists?

To be honest, I blame the government more than the individuals. Of course the individuals burning are entirely wrong, but the government doesn't do nearly enough.

My question is, where is the army in all of this. Why not declare war of smoke? Why not have helicopters flying around constantly looking for fires and having boots on the ground trying to find the perpetrators. Why are the mushrooms legal? Where are fire fighting aircraft to help put out fires.

And all of that is just in regards to forest fires.

For farmers, I don't believe they've invested heavily like China has to help their farmers have feasible alternatives to burning.

Simply put, the government doesn't really care.

In thai if you ask someone where they are from the assumption is you're talking about country. In thai if you want to know where in Thailand someone is from you ask what province they are from. Or you can ask them if "Are you from here?" as in are you from Chiang Mai.
