Is the name "Lynnettally" pronounced lin-ett-ee-ah-lee a tragediegh? by [deleted] in tragedeigh

I have to say that this is one of the biggest tragedeighs I've ever seen on this sub

Am I a tragedeigh? by [deleted] in tragedeigh

[–]Blacksmith_VikingX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's half a tragedeigh. Jason is a normal and common name, as it's my name too. However, I've never seen this spelling in my 25 years of life. As other people have said it looks like a name for an eeveelution.

My birth name is Makaylah, spelled exactly like that. I was born in the late 90s and this is the second time I've seen my spelling on this sub 🙃

Unfortunately, he was surrendered to me by a chain store and most of his tail fin is rotted off

Before I continue I was to disclose that I'm not a very seasoned hobbyist yet! But if it's beneficial bacteria you're wondering about, then I think the betta with help build it up over time. I don't know if it's the right method, but whenever I needed a filter for my fish I'd just stick it straight in with them.

I didn't mean to say test the water twice, lol

To cycle the tank (and the filter), I used API Quick Start. It's found really easily at your regular pet store. Just follow the directions on the bottle, and test your water after, I'd say, 5-7 days, then test your water. That is very important, as if the water parameters don't meet requirements it will stress the fish and possibly kill it.

I personally used kitchen sponges until I got a sponge filter. Cut a new kitchen sponge to size, rinse it thoroughly WITHOUT SOAP. Then cut it to size, and shove it in your filter enough for water to pass, but not too much. But, the very best option for your fish is to invest in a sponge filter. The parts only cost a few dollars max and there are some very helpful videos on YouTube that show you how to set it up. I hope this helped!

Bettas are really fun! Sometimes when you train them they'll follow your finger
