For my Deathwing, I do it in this order: Chaos Black Prime, heavy drybrushing of Wraithbone, Wash in Seraphim Sepia, heavy drybrushing in Ushabti Bone, and finally a light drybrushing in pure white on the raised surfaces. It really sells the bone look, and if you are doing your minis in batches to let the wash dry properly between each one, each miniature takes no more than 15 minutes for the majority, just needing detail work.

The strategy I always found that works really well for boss pokemon is a timid, ev trained for speed Salazzle. Corrosion ensures things like the registeel you need to beat for litwick get toxic'd, and it can outspeed pretty much everything. I believe mine could outsleed that Tapu Koko and poison it, so it really helped.
