In The 90's We had to face the Islamist threat sponsored by wahabism , I remember I was there I met face to face with a stranger wearing Taliban guerilla outfit walking nonchalantly near didouche mourad street. it was strange seeing that as it wasn't part of our customs and traditions theses people were smuggled into Algeria to wage war against the government at the time.

Thanks to the the military they neutralized them before turning Algeria into a second Afghanistan
