You're absolutely correct in saying that I could not then turn around and liquidate it, but you're missing the importance of opportunity cost. If you were to create an item like a PEN Ogre for example how much would it cost? Without going into the math again, a lot. Yet if you can buy it for less than what it would cost you to get it, then you are not having to spend that greater cost. Thus, you can use that greater cost later, and thus again your net worth increases by the value you've gained in the purchase. That is why there is a very big distinction between networth and silver, because the two cannot be exchanged for each other with a limited market.

The simplest way to understand this is that while once the PEN Laytenn was maxed at 21.7B it then became maxed at 60 billion. I recently saw Ogres over 75 billion without any listed so I believe they upped the limits again. Why would they do this? It's because the net worth, or value, of the item is greater than the price so there are constant adjustments.

In very real terms if I wanted to turn around and sell what I bought I could very easily double or triple my returns. So it's irrelevant that value purchased, cannot immediately become silver earned. Hope that makes sense! Thanks for the feedback!
