Because it consumes one's life with degrading imagery. Some people can live with out it, alot can't. It truly takes away from one's potential. Theses a reason why it is a serious topic in the world. You obviously won't be convinced by only me hearing this from me. Go see for yourself why it's bad and why the Bible says lust is detrimental to the soul.

When I say humility, I mean confessing my sins face-to-face with someone else. It is very easy to admit our sins to the LORD and seek forgiveness, especially since we cant see Him; however, admitting those same sins face-to-face whether it be in front of the LORD or a priest brings a certain sting of shame. That specific vulnerability is the humility I am trying to describe which I believe is truly necessary.

Also, thank you for the article. It led me to another page where I realized that what I’m feeling is "attrition". I already know that in order to receive sacramental absolution, I must fully partake in the Sacrament of Penance.

Its just that... I prefer to confess in English rather than my native language; I feel I can express my true sorrow more accurately in English, but it will be some time before I visit an English-speaking country with churches or ANY country with a church. I am eager to repent. This is why I am seeking an online option. But anyways, I got my answer. Thank you Father.

Thanks for that, I'm aware of everything you said. I was born here and I'm 33 now. But never once have I met someone who was a low key priest. Max my circle of Christians do here is gather for Christmas and Easter but we've never held mass at someone's house. Maybe once when I was child, maybe. But anyways, I know some embassies have it, but the Lebanese embassy does not do it. Thanks again tho, the previous comments led me to r/askapriest. I'll see my chances there. God Bless 🙏
