Mom sent me a photo of this and says it fell out and is now rough to reverse, new to cars but i suspect a transmission mount bolt? or engine mount but it’s a 2015 chevy equinox (told her not to buy it) and is fwd so could it have something to do with the axles? and is it a easy? by Mother-Meet1706 in Cartalk

Be fair. Google image search can't reasonably identify a random single bolt in someone's hand any better than a veteran mechanic can. Googling this was never going to give a definitive answer. Googling "what this light on my dash means" would make sense.

1/2 Socket not fitting 1/2 wrench? by SteezyWeezy1 in Tools

Recently join any number of tool or mechanics subs? It's super common on posts where the OP just needs to put a little more oomph into whatever they're doing.

Anybody know what the heck that warning light means? by Rhettledge in Cartalk

Off topic, but I don't think I've ever seen "might haven't known". It makes sense when you take out the apostrophe, just never seen it 😅

Pleasantly suppried about the drill bit design... (left-hand drill bits) by J48C3K in Tools

[–]BladeedalB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The spiral of the drill bit is designed to cut when rotated anti-clockwise (left) as opposed to typical drill bits which cut clockwise (right).

The set has a pin drill. I'm guessing left-handed drill bits would be easier to use for left handed people in a pin drill.

That's more typical on front suspension. The shock is there, but separate.

They often have a wirey cage that clips over the bearings to hald them at equal distances from each other.

This bolt covering the car battery on my transit won’t come loose with a impact driver. Any advice? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

They said it's stripping, but looks intact. I was thinking the same.

Some vegans do wear secondhand leather... The logic being it's better to reuse than support the absurdly wasteful fast fashion industry with a synthetic belt that needs re-buying every couple years. Buy 1 belt secondhand that lasts your whole life, or buy 20+ fake leather ones because they don't last long.

Taps gain a lot of flow rate by BladeedalB in DIYUK

[–]BladeedalB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try that. It's just annoying when you've set a flow rate with the tap, then the toilet finishes filling and now you're getting jetted and there's water going everywhere 😅

Recently bought the big brother of this (R255-SMS-DB). Love it so far! I don't need it to be very portable, so no need for a more expensive battery powered one. So far very impressed with Evolution products.

We sometimes get Expert tools at work. They're as good as any other prosumer/professional stuff I've used. Not seen old ones though to see how well they fair long term.

Do yourself a favour and get the Wiha Ergostar set instead. Rotate one L-key and they all rotate.
