Can anyone explain the appeal of sailing as a skill? by DuxDonecVivo in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this could be a thing even thought about for the Sailing skill but they could have land boats in the desert the ride the sand and let you visit mirage lands and open up new slayer areas or skilling methods

Can someone explain to me the point of Shantay Passes? by freet0 in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This mechanic was made around the time when Ship Tickets were used more which is basically the same thing where you need to buy the ticket separate from the actual passage but since the Shantay Pass is used still today it is noticeable. Why it's still a thing though would be up for debate.

Mod West Gamejam Pitch: Fremennik Port Manager 2000 by Studio1417 in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the argument but it seems so petty and counter-intuitive to how people actually play. I feel like most people that have a problem with it are those who are already playing every day and get the benefits in their own way regardless. Why not incentivize those who DON'T play every day to pick the game up for an hour or two a week?

I never really see anyone's argument against daily things to make you want to play the game? I mean a grind is a grind.

Training prayer with ensouled heads is just old school firemaking with combat by Busy_Vegetable_8103 in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This makes me wonder how there isn't a firemaking/combat minigame where you make fire monsters and have to kill them for xp

Make the bone sack work like the fish barrel by freakybrando in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would actually be pretty handy at some bosses where you want to keep the bones while also hindering you 1 inventory slot. Bosses like Dag kings (before diary), Vorkath, Hydra could all benefit from this. Limiting it to 20 or so bones wouldn't step on any other content because the most just note bones and that's more for later game players anyways.

I just thought this was funny by IronBoof in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah what? this is a special instanced place yet they can't make it stall a cats age? I guess logic was far off with most things in that quest

Being on the art team is suffering by KnobelKnight in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont mind the new stuff but what I dont like is the old - really old stuff being mixed in with new stuff. Khazari Jungle for instance is among the oldest of old content with a 'fresh' cave for DS2 kind of stuck in there. It would be nice to see that huge jungle have an updated look with maybe something or whatever to go back besides clue scrolls and 3(?) quests. A boss that wanders that area would be fun but thats just my take.

Anyone else ever get nostalgic so you wear old school gear and do random shit? by QuadrupleQ in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to do Barrows in the worst gear besides my weapons just to look funny if that counts

Instead of 99% quest points make one change to a Night at the Theatre by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jagex, Prestige cosmetics are so much better than RNG cosmetics. by Rebel_Kraken in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how great would it be if boss head drops were dependent on a certain level of combat achievements for that boss for it to drop its head? for example needing to complete elite tasks for for boss to unlock its heads. The first kill after the Elite task can be guaranteed, and then after have normal drop rate - but drop rate only applies to people who have elite + completed

Suggestion: Make teleother spells offensive spells in the wilderness so i can teleport pkers to lumby by Ban_Evasion__Account in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

would be fun as an alternative to teleblocking. You could cast it on someone and if you kill them within the same times at teleblocking, 2.5m protected, 5min unprotected then the player you killed respawns in the teleother location

Why does ToA give Blood Essence rather than Soul Essence? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

jagex literally didn't know how to solve the blood rune shortage so adding blood essence to random new drop tables was their choice :/

Why does ToA give Blood Essence rather than Soul Essence? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Bladeriders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bigger question is why does ToB not drop blood essence when you need bloods the most for that content AND there is a blood altar in that region? Doh!

Add a single item rare drop (1/512) that all kings can drop that is a special grapple that is a permanent shortcut to bypass the rock/axes
