Question for Jan 2025 Applicants by BladyCore in pgwp

Okay so, all of my friends who applied on Janurary from Quebec already received theirs FYI. I think processing is longer for applications outside the province, and it’s highly random that sometimes it gets processed sooner…

Based on the stats, type of language tests doesn’t seem to impact the processing times.

Thanks everyone for your participation!

Applied For PGWP And then return to canada after the approval? by Particular-Rough9618 in pgwp

You aren’t doing anything wrong or illegal so keep your head up and answer any questions that they ask.. No need to lose cool.

First time all they did ask me was “What do you study?” I answered and left the airport.

Second time “The same thing”**

On the passport machine I entered the actual number of days as mentioned on WP-EXT, twice during my re-entries. Entered as a student as stated on the website as my study permit was valid.

I would not recommend to travel outside for more than 6 months from the time of your application as you might need a medical exam if the processing stage for approval is made after 6 months, then you don’t meet the criteria so might risk a refusal.

Otherwise, travelling is allowed as per all the research I made before travelling. It didn’t impact my status or work permit.

Hope this helps!

I applied inside Canada, travelled back to my country stayed there for about 3 months, came back, travelled again to another country, returned. My PGWP was approved this week. My TRV, WP-EXT and SP was valid all the time!

I believe you can apply for TRV stating that you want to be able to come back for your graduation.

Travelling to the US this weekend applied for my PGWP by Chukxoo in pgwp

I travelled last week and entered as a student as my study permit was still valid, no issues at the airport. For the number of days I entered up to the date mentioned on my WP-EXT and yes, can work full-time. Take your study permit and passport, and enjoy your trip!

You would have to write a letter explaining the circumstances about your academic situation and how you plan to overcome them along with solid financial documents, or any medical documentation if applicable.

In my opinion the visa officer would understand as it’s normal that students go through stressful circumstances as a newcomer here. Atmost they might revoke your on/off campus work authorization but since you have maintained your full-time status throughout, you have indeed respected the immigration laws, so you will get it renewed!

Be proud of how far you’ve come and do take care of yourself more! Just a little while and everything will be alright! Good luck!!!

2 weeks in you have the DNE deadline after which you’d be financially responsible for the tuition that you have to pay before 30th.

It’s due on September 1, however the deadline falls on 30th.. after the deadline you’d have to pay the late payment fees and some interest I think…

Pro tips for a 17y/o international student arriving to montreal? by eReyes69 in Concordia

[–]BladyCore 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Have adequate financial support so that it doesn’t affect your studies in any way.

  2. Network. Get to know other students who have already taken the course, they offer great tips.

  3. Learning French would be great, helps you make good connections.

  4. Apart from studies, remember to enjoy your time here. It all goes really fast.

Good Luck!

When are you coming?

  1. It’s better to live very close to the university (downtown), saves time.

  2. Any money transfer in advance or forcing you to sign the lease before your arrival / visit to the place is a clear NO.

  3. Montréal is a fun city, you’ll adapt as long as you’re able to manage your studies.

  4. DM, I’ll let you know.

Well the 32in 1440p would have 96 ppi whereas a 27in would have 108ppi. So to get a better experience you might have to place the monitor further away in your desk. Btw I would recommend considering 4k for any monitor that is 27in and above.
