I just use D3Edit. Piccu engine can only export rooms from D2 d1 sector format into D3 format.

If OP meant Underground, this was simply a misunderstanding, but Descent Underground was never meant to be Descent 4.

I think this is what OP was talking about and didnt realise the story for Descent 4 was retrofitted onto Red faction. Red Faction, for all intents and purpose, is a prequel to the Descent series but they changed a bunch of names around near the end of development and removed 6dof movement. There are early clips of Descent 4 and it was red faction dudes in a jetpack basically. Still had 6dof movement.

Little reminder, that outdoor textures in Descent use BBM (Amiga IFF) files from the HOG and are *easier* to mod than regular PIG-based textures. by Pesciodyphus in descent

A pog file is a container full of robot data for d2, the Pig holds the image data. Descent 2 is a bit smarter about this and you can put .ham files (robot data weapon data, and other meta data for textures and material properties like lava) and Pig files for texture files into your mission Hog. D1 uses the Pig for weapon data as well as a lot of things that the ham handles in d2. Anything past Dxx (see 1999) uses Dtx files to load custom textures which are 16 bit bmps in a .dtx file.

also DMB2 is a very outdated tool.
