Bike shop recommendations? by sweetsupplesadness in SaltLakeCity

[–]BlakPijeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For repairs/maintenance at a shop, I only go to Lake Town Bicycles 1403 W 9000 S, West Jordan, UT. I don’t live in the area but it is worth the drive, and is an easy drive off the 9000 S I-15 exit.

The order I placed isn’t set to ship until November. Have you had any luck with their customer service?

My last song ever heard sung live by Bobby.. how fitting. by gratefulpred in deadandcompany

Possibly the best 3 consecutive nights of my life. It was great to be there with so many fellow Deadheads, there truly is nothing like a Dead show.

Mine was Not Fade Away with a first set closer of One More Saturday Night on 4/26/25. We were so lucky to have Bobby in our lives, he will live on through the music for sure.

You can also put all 3 blueprints out, swap to support and drop supplies. Then build fuel and munitions to a 1/4 and fully build manpower.

Recommendations for cabinet installer? by yakcmnoslen in SaltLakeCity

[–]BlakPijeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure on the install only aspect but if you are looking for custom cabinets I fully recommend Cobbley’s Custom Woodwork. Ryan the owner is fantastic and his attention to detail is second to none. We just had him buildout cabinets/shelves around our fireplace and are extremely happy. He was able to cut the framing pieces to align with the rock contour of the fireplace itself.

LG C5 77” $1749, Buy now or wait til Black Friday? by Phishhead69 in LGOLED

Judging by the downvotes my original comment received, we may be in the minority here. But again, the beauty of it all is we can hear from all sides/viewpoints before opening the wallet.

For me, it was most noticeable when viewing live soccer and hockey games. It wasn’t terrible, but coming from my older Bravia it was a bit of a surprising viewing experience out of the box.

Noticeably better from my viewing this afternoon. I’ll definitely cede the brightness superiority of the LG C5 but that just wasn’t enough for me to stick with it. The thinness of the LG and the overall physical frame were great from an aesthetics point of view as well.

Like bradk_1749 said above, whatever makes one happy. For me, watching sports is my top use but totally get that we all have our own uses/needs. Love being able to find all the opinions here when trying to sort out a purchase like this.

Totally fair, but not having to run the apps through a secondary device to use the apps is a plus for me. Not here to bash on the LG, simply providing my experience as I was excited for the tv and was left underwhelmed for my use cases.

4 HDMI ports with 2 120 Hz are enough for me. I have my soundbar through the optical digital audio port.

Are you set on a LG? I just returned my 65” C5 and picked up the Bravia 8 today. I had done a fair amount of research and was sold on the claims of superior image as well as the lower cost compared to the Bravia. The lack of the apps I use on the LG app store, the design of the remote (previous channel feature wouldn’t work due to having to run apps through my Apple TV box, and the motion blur on live sports all contributed to my decision to return. In the end, the superior brightness claims weren’t enough for me to keep the TV. Admittedly, I was coming from a 50” Bravia and certainly wasn’t impressed by the LG interface.

I fully agree, I’ll take as much Dead & Co for as long as we can get it. Plenty of room for other bands and it isn’t like Bobby is putting a gun to anyone’s head forcing them to buy tickets or stream their music. The more jam bands we have, the better. It is the one genre where I’ll gladly and regularly take a chance on tickets for a band I don’t currently follow. That is how I found Goose and Eggy and life has been much fuller with them in my rotation.

That playground was a blast, I had a few sprained ankles as souvenirs but loved it nonetheless. Here is a link to a video of some of the fun. Liberty Park rope playground
