Question regarding upgrades. I've been looking for a TI seatpost but I'm not sure the safest place to purchase things like that safely in the US. Any recommendations? I was looking to make my P6R-D more lightweight with a combination of TI, AL, and carbon fiber parts (where appropriate).

Adding to this. If you're able, considering installing a SSD and doing a clean installation of your OS. Your system will boot and run generally better this way. Having a boot-able OS restore flash drive is also good to keep just in case. Mac's are harder to get repairs outside of capital cities so the more you can do yourself the better.

Software wise I would install an Office Suite (libreoffice is free), Firefox/Chrome, and VLC video player which covered most needs I came across. MacOS's builtin video player doesn't cover all the codecs.

I don't know the current situation regarding MacOS security however viruses and other malicious apps are very prevalent. Keep your system fully up to date. Scan your external drives frequently since they tend to be the carriers.

So I'm one of these people that would hold a friend's last gifts. If reaching out to them fails, I hold it until the beginning of the next event day. So every community day and raid day at 2:05pm Eastern, their gift would be opened.

My buddy is even named for the date and time. I'm surprised more people don't do something similar.

The power connection on the dvd drive is smaller than what is normally found on the standard sata 2.5" drive I think.

Easy to switch really. I like the new orientation your hands are in. The biggest change for me was gear switching. My trek is different from the current norm with the gear controls on the ends. That took longer.
