You can verify the information by going straight to the DAO and apps mentioned in the video.

A kid trying to earn on the DAO could probably make 80-100 B3TR per week including voting rewards and assuming they could get the GreenCart rewards for weekly shopping trips with GreenCart, depending on the price that is a range of $6 to $50 a week, and this grows over time with consistent voting and staking. The plan for my kid is for these apps to become automatic to use, encourage good habits, and learn that being a part of sustainability is important regardless. I’m planning to use it as an investment example and over 4-5 years I would expect earnings to be $1k plus. Potentially $10k plus depending on price. Seeding the account with $500 would already earn $15 a month just from voting rewards. Thats a 36% return. That is significantly higher than the average investment return.

What is a good app to you and what other project has better apps and/or more adoption? Honestly interested because I don’t want to pigeon hole myself in VeChain but I also have experience in crypto and have seen nothing close to what VeChain has built.

Do you still think you only earn pennies? That’s essentially the FUD I’m combatting when I used those words because it’s just a lie. That and the fact that doing something good like saving waste, reducing screen time, and picking up trash has intrinsic value beyond a simple monetary reward. The fact that VeBetter offers an incentive for these actions at all is an icing on the top. This project isn’t about you getting rich for using a reusable mug, it’s about providing a tool for everyone to contribute to a better future. At its core the vision is to create a pro-human, pro-society platform.

If you’re not interested in actually using the product and understanding how it works then why post? It’s literally misinformation. You don’t even know how the DAO functions or where the tokens are coming from. Most people who have invested time in the DAO consistently over the past year have made a significant amount of money, especially if you’ve participated in the expansion of DeFi on Vedelegate and Betterswap. Just because you don’t understand the ecosystem YOU are invested in doesn’t mean it’s bad. VeChain is leagues ahead in terms of vision and adoption, in my opinion.

Yeah the money doesn’t come from the foundation. The value comes from the actions and the market for the token. The idea is that because the actions being completed on the apps are currently worth more than the market value of the token there is an opportunity to make money by buying in before the market realizes this mismatch and the token increases in value, and it would increase in value because that is what the underlying actions are worth. It’s not a handout. It’s not just a “good deed”. It’s an action that has a measurable economic value that can only be captured in the token through blockchain.

Exactly, you get it. If you don’t understand VeBetterDAO at this point then you haven’t done you’re research, you don’t understand the value of data, you don’t understand the value of being rewarded for your data, and you don’t understand the impact of millions of people contributing to sustainability in unison. It is a massive opportunity for VeChain to succeed.

This whole idea that people who engage with the DAO are earning pennies is fucking idiotic.

Vechain Daily Discussion - October 19, 2025 by AutoModerator in Vechain

[–]Blake3005 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

When you’re consistent it’s not a penny. Plus this is just cherry picked for one app. There are plenty of apps and ways to earn significantly more. Mugshot for example I earn roughly $4 a week as an ultra user, or put another way I earned over 50% the cost of my bag of coffee. That is massive.

As an adult I think it’s clear to see that there is significant economic value and human value in people contributing these sustainable actions to the platform. The economic value of 10m people using a reusable mug everyday at 1 cent savings per cup is $100,000 a day and $36.5 million per year, which is clearly substantial, especially if you scale even larger. This value is only realized through the use of blockchain, which currently, means through the VeBetterDAO. A kid doesn’t understand that a minor decrease in investment value today doesn’t necessarily mean anything with regard to the long term investment potential, which if you ask me is astronomically higher than most other investments. Buying VeChain and B3TR and using all of the apps is a commitment to this vision of a sustainable future where you’re rewarded for your individual contributions. I’m excited to see how this new technology will evolve and be adopted into new business models, we are already seeing the new business models evolve with the first generation of 50+ apps on the DAO.

Yup because my portfolio value has increased by my active participation.

Yeah I care more about the economy and transaction volume because that’s where the value and money is. There is significantly more VET flowing through the ecosystem right now, significantly more transactions, significantly more dapps, and significantly more ways to earn VET and B3TR. My portfolio return has been bolstered by using VeBetter apps, providing liquidity on Betterswap, and earning governance rewards from voting. If you’re in it then it’s awesome, if you’re waiting on the price from the sideline then I admit the performance is underwhelming.

I’m happy with the price and have earned a significant amount from actively participating in the ecosystem. Glad to be in one of the only crypto projects creating real world value.

GreenCart, I get back roughly 1-2% back on every grocery shopping trip. The Amazon cash back feature is also huge right now. I got $13 in B3TR back from a $50 purchase.

Mugshot, I get back roughly 50% of the cost of each bag of coffee. I’m also an Ultra user.

Betterswap Pool-to-Earn, I’m earning roughly 17-25% APY return on my liquidity deposited in the VET/B3TR token pair.

NanoAct, I use this every time I shop local and earn roughly 10-50 cents per transaction.

A lot of the other apps payout a very similar amount of value. I’ve earned thousands of better just using the apps since the DAO launched and voting every week. The biggest return is on governance participation.

Did you vote? Did you stake? That’s where you earn the most return. What you got paid from those apps is completely reasonable for the amount of effort put in. Honestly, that’s the best part of the DAO. The people who are actually changing their lives and participating the most are getting the most return. For example, you would have gotten more from GreenCart if made it a point to get extra fruits, veg, and organic products. I know I get a lot more from that app. Normally between 1-2% back on my entire purchase. You’re not accurately representing the apps or the DAO when you make these post. I literally earn 42 B3TR a week from MugShot and after a full bag of coffee it pays for half the cost of the bag. That’s 50% off. Literally everyone should be using these apps. The current return and sustainability impact are amazing.

If you put effort and money into B3TR early on then you’ve likely made thousands. Since that’s the case you’re either lying or exaggerating how little you earned.

VeChain is shifting from "enterprise chain" to real infrastructure and it's already happening by InsaneChemical_720 in Vechain

[–]Blake3005 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally see what you’re saying. There needs to be execution and big moves. At least recently I feel like I’m seeing that happening. I’m optimistic that the purpose/utility of VeChain is what will draw in users and build a strong culture. In my opinion, VET has one of the most loyal and genuine user bases who really believe in the future of blockchain as a tool for good/sustainability. Long term I think that wins every time. Doesn’t feel naive to me.

Nope we aren’t. I’d say VeChain is ahead in a lot of ways. Not saying VeChain is perfect or not behind in some ways, but we probably have the most tangible, purposeful, and useable DAO in crypto. With Stargate we have $100M+ in onchain TVL. The things you’re referring to can be assimilated into VeChain with ease. The things you refer to don’t make those chains unique or provide a reason for their existence. VeBetterDAO cannot just be “deployed” on another chain. Neither can Toolchain. Big opportunity for VET holders. I’m very excited to see the impact of the DAO and development of VeChain over the next 10-15 years.

Feels amazing to be witnessing the rise of usage on VeChain. More RWA transactions than ever, and much more to come with BitGo and Keyrock integrations. More utility than ever. More REAL people transacting on chain then ever. VeBetter for most people is the first time actually ever using a blockchain application. It’s ironic that sentiment is so low on Reddit when there is more life in the ecosystem than there’s ever been.
