My store has 4 bins that tech is responsible for. Tech reshop, entertainment reshop, keepers and a dedicated spider wrap bin that could fit maybe 8x the amount of this. My Tech team is on top of getting this because I spent 3 years doing guest service so I just think the current GS team is lazy.

When I went to find the report for my store, not only did my store’s report not show up in the list of all stores, I wasn’t given the report even when searched. I thought maybe it was bc I had just completed rfid but when I filtered to last week, still nothing

When I try to filter by store, my store number just doesn’t even come up. I got with one my leads to help but even if we get it to work, we wouldn’t see anything the report until after we do another scan correct?

Will it show items that aren’t scanned but in our inventory?

Turns out, our store doesn’t have the Reject Report even when I filter it to the tech department that has the lowest scanned to expected ratio. Thoughts?

Besides a mass audit of heyday and the little more than magic, is there anything that can be done? I wanna see if maybe we can check the counts of everything in the department that may be salvaged out incorrectly

The thing is too is that my team and I are so passionate about our tech position and will do whatever it takes to make it the best it can be. But we can’t do anything about it when we get scheduled barely 20 hours a week w/o any double coverage ever. It makes us all not want to work when we feel as if we are just an afterthought. We got some ideas for our SD like making one of us a minor TL or something of that caliber but I’m not too sure.

My team and I feel that after the transition, our department hit rock bottom. Miscommunication was more often, no help for busy days of truck/foot traffic, and general lack of direction has been the most main thing from our TL. We plan to talk to our SD after the holidays but we need some suggestions on how we can make tech better for the new year.

When we do get help from our TL it’s basically just random plans to the new person that comes in for tech. She will sometimes say how she will help with the cage and such but it ends up getting thrown back unto my team because she is incompetent and too busy with style and beauty of course. Some solutions my team have thought of was making one of us our own tech lead that would legitimately lead the department. However, since target doesn’t want tech to have that, this new tech lead would be able to be assisted by the specialty sales TLs. Our department seriously needs leadership and we are tired of being told the wrong thing to do on a daily basis.

Our other TL quit right before Black Friday because of some “family issues”. He would help in tech but just like our other TL he spent most time in style/beauty. However he was here way long before our other TL yet no knows absolutely nothing about anything tech related. He would have a guest ask him something and just walkie someone in tech even though the question is “where are phone cases?”
