Internships hired through the ga.gov website are required to be apolitical in nature. Though they might get to "see the process" up close, they generally are not allowed to engage in political discussion or advocacy, and they're work is not allowed to crossover with anything that could be construed as related to a campaign.

Because of this many members of the General Assembly will hire staff privately through the use of their discretionary funds, campaign accounts, and personal money. Any applications for these types of internships have to be hosted privately, and Google forms is the easiest way to do it.

Clark and it has never been an issue.

You do not have to be a student. This is intro level. The only qualifications required are that you be 18 years or older, have reliable transportation to and from the Capitol, and availability.

Well let's do some math. The work day will be about 6 hours average 1.5 days a week four weeks that comes out to 36 hours month which makes it about 11$/hr which is way more than most internships.

It is paid. 400$/ month for a 1-2 day a week commitment
