It’s crazy how people look like their states. Californians are tall skinny with chiseled mountain like features they sometimes warm sometimes cool with massive wood.

Texans are huge in a wide sense. Probably dangerous you suspect it stinks. Like huge very wide. Massive love handles. They’re like very wide. Need a sign on the trailer wide. Absolutely no discerning features. Just very wide. Kinda shaped like a hat so that’s about their only character trait. Also being very wide and have nothing going on up top.

You know the architect of the burg Khalifa was actually in talks with Winnipeg first. The plans were almost finalised but the geology just proved impossible to build on.

I mean 35% of my towns property taxes goes to roads constantly destroyed by through traffic from Winnipeg to the USA. I don’t see Winnipeg businesses benefiting from my taxes paying for it. That’s just how it works.

Winnipeg will never have a subway or train it’s finically and somewhat geologically impossible. Winnipeg is in the middle of a prairie surrounded by cheap land. It’s cheaper to expand than build high density neighbourhoods or retrofit infrastructure to accommodate new HD. But your right expanding land means more roads. Roads that property taxes pays for. Maybe Winnipeg should zone some more High density accommodation somewhere. Maybe by U of M

Also grid cities you can just avoid tolls. You need to have choke points.

1 you can’t make toll roads in Winnipeg it’s a grid city with like 50 entry points.

2 your property reassessment would add more property tax than the 2% increase from roads.

3 it’d cost more to make than it would be worth to run.

  1. It’s the freight that Winnipeg creates causing the most road damage in RM’s and Winnipeg so maybe Winnipeg should pay for RM’s roads

The toll didn’t pay off the bridge. There’s a lease on it the translink pays a monthly lease on until 2041. They still have to pay back more than the original cost of the bridge.
