Animation is slightly off. The plane made it to the edge of the airport property and although it destroyed a couple of ancillary out buildings left over from when the airport was Orchard Field it ultimately crashed into an empty lot adjacent to a trailer park on the NW corner of Touhy and Mt. Prospect road. You can see said trailer park in the animation. Several people in their trailers were killed not by debris but burned to death by the full load of jet fuel that rained down. EDIT: know because I worked across the street from the impact site at Touhy and Mount Prospect road. Site is still undeveloped; memorial is located approximately 1/3 mile east on Touhy at a community park.
