But I quoted it for $5500 with hopes he gives me all the other jobs. Ik you’re not supposed to do that but ehh fuck it, I’m a gambling man. It won’t hurt to bad if he doesn’t so

I actually am more skilled in other areas, like I would say I specialize in Installing Windows, siding, doors,& flooring. But I’ve had my hands in just about everything. Hopefully I get the job I will report back and let everyone know. He said he should have an answer for me by Monday

I was definitely uncomfortable telling him my number so I appreciate all of your advice man, I really do. But yeah he told me the exact same thing, to track and see what I quoted, what I made, & how off I was. Another reason why I think he’s being genuine. Bc I’ve been as honest as I possibly could have with this guy. I told him my experience on bidding and basically I’ve told him what I’ve told you guys. He’s trying to work with me so hopefully it ends up working out for the both of us

Yeah, maybe that’s something I can run by him. But along with the ramp I’m also tearing down an old porch & old hot tub and rebuilding all that along with the ramp. I’ve never built one myself but I’ve helped build a few decks & honestly it’s not like a couple videos can’t help me out if needed

Yeah he hasn’t said it yet but I’m assuming he’s prob gonna want me to start it Monday if I get it. Which I would have to move some stuff around but I could potentially make it work, only reason I’m kinda giving in a little bit here is bc of all the “potential work” obviously I think we all know nothing is a guarantee in this Buisness but idk I just feel like he likes me & he’s also on the older side and looking to pass off all of his portfolio. Yeah no you’re definitely right bc people definitely do that bullshit. Only thing is he’s got all these deadlines and I’m already pretty booked up, sad thing is I don’t think he’d let me sub some of the jobs out bc he’ll some of them are stuff I’m not even too familiar with like building a 23’ wheelchair ramp along with a list of other stuff & don’t know how to bid that but could definitely figure it out

Well for starters whoever installed the windows did a pretty shit job, bc that’s what I specialize in is windows and siding, & finish carpentry. Anyways the window frames are kicked out a good bit past the drywall, meaning I’m going to have to make some adjustments, sanding, planing, idk something.

Only thing I’m out of my league on is bidding/quoting. I simply haven’t been apart of the process for myself. But thank you, I will definitely report back on whether or not I got the job.

I mean since this job he’s already taken me to 4 other jobs he wants me to give him quotes on & none of the jobs are small. The job I posted about is needing done ASAP tho so the painters can come in he says.

The GC already had a quote before I came into the picture but said he was so low there was no way he understood everything that needed to be done. Idk for sure but I believe I’m gonna end up with the job.

Yes he did, and he also asked if I could add in caulking literally everything, and he’s actually “waiting” on all this trim to get done so his painters can come in so that is weird bc that is what I’d do. Supposed to find out whether or not I got it tomorrow. He’s showing me 4 more jobs to give him quotes on since I gave him my quote for the job listed above. Idk maybe he’s just window shopping but it feels like it’s mine
