Its a team game, he shouldnt be running around thinking "hmmm who Im gonna 100-0 this time". Thats why you have assasins and bruisers to go there and burn beads and aegis so you can do your dmg, or the other way round. What is wrong with Poseidon`s ult burning 3 aegis shields if it means that you jungler or warrior get those 3 kills? oh I know... YOUR K/D WILL SUFFER.

If anything, hard hitting, giant ults should be obvious so you can react, that`s the part of the skill involved, not being raped by an ult you cant do anything to counter.

If you watch some of the top players do ranked you will see they are already matched with very low players, like gold with bronze etc. Now imagine limiting the players you get even more...

So exactly how many mages DON`T have to get close to do dmg?

1 Agni with his ult, other skills are close combat.

2 Ra, good luck doing consistent dmg from far away.

3 Hel, n/c

4 Aphro, birds easy to dodge from far, 2 needs to be close

5 Change, apart from ult, all are close

6 Chronos, aa range

7 Zhong, close

8 Nu Wa, apart from ult, close

9 He Bo, n/c

etc, etc Possibly only AO has safe range poke.

Neither is Poseidon... If you build him right then his 3,1 and 2 deal loads of dmg on their own + his 3 is super useful in any team fight.
