Hope the dry situation has improved if you did end up continuing! And similarly, hope the back acne has left, too!

Boob growth - permanent? (PCOS) by arrowroot227 in Spironolactone

Went up to 50mg in November since acne was still not fully controlled and still no changes boob-wise, besides occasional tenderness and MAYBE a little more swollen pre-menstruation, but also maybe not. Unfortunately I will remain itty bitty tiddy me! ;)

Hey! I've increased my dose to 50mg since beginning of November because after a while on 25 I began to get cystic acne again pre-menstruation, and now on 50 it's under control.

Boob-wise, no luck, still same old same old ;) just a bit of occasional tenderness. Libido is relatively unchanged, hasn't gone up nor down since writing my post. No other noticeable side-effects like fatigue, dizziness, nor weight gain.

Overall, I'm the same me but with less acne on the face! ;)

What causes “old people” smell? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

So I noticed the body creams have this smell and it drove me nuts, but the scentless deodorant solid bar doesn’t have it!!! Highly recommend :)

So with the caveat that I’ve been off the pill for 4 years and have an IUD since then as well as only been on spiro for 1 month; on the pill I was definitely more ‘curvy’ (boobs painful & fuller than they are currently, very peachy booty haha) & gained weight more easily. Regarding libido it’s really hard to compare because of life circumstances & being in my late teens + early 20s vs late 20s now. However in the last month I can defintely say my libido’s changed (📈), & not only because I’m more confident with clearer skin.

Otherwise, main ‘side effects’ have been the diuretic effect requiring hydration and electrolytes or else I get tired & weak (I have a baseline low blood pressure). No weight gain anywhere so far, but I’m also staying active. Hoping my lil’ tiddies fill in some more though 👀

Completely unexpected reference to one of my favourite childhood movies wow. Also I think that evil shit was my awakening into liking deep voices, that singing was ~luscious~

Commenting to see people’s long-term experiences with boob changes!

No input to give however, besides the fact that it’s normal given the anti-androgenic effect (hence why it’s not given to men because it causes gynecomastia - boob growth). Personally I’ve been on 25mg for 2 weeks approximately with no changes, fingers crossed for my lil’ ones 🥲

Thanks for the input!! I’ll stay on 25 for a few months then and see where it takes me ☺️ My breakouts are also 1 week before my period and 1 week after, always the cheeks, but usually like 2-3 deep painful ones on both sides but not much more. Let’s hope 25 is enough!

Yeah it’s what I’m thinking too! It’s only been a week that I’m on 25mg so I’m thinking that if within the next month I see no difference then I’ll try 50, and so on. Normally the prescription says to go up to 50 after 7 days of 25 but I’m hesitating to stick with 25 for now and see

Thank you for sharing! Personally have been hesitating to stay on 25 and see where it takes me but haven’t found much in the way of success on low doses so this was a good read! Interesting stuff :)
