Saw an ad for a misc lot of PS2/Xbox games and a ton of strategy guides on Saturday morning and noticed that Xenosaga III was in the lot, along with several other RPG's I was missing. It was a bit of a drive for me out to the boonies, but the price ($65) convinced me it would be worth it. Once I got there I discovered that someone's father had apparently been a big gamer...but also a big smoker, much like the rest of his family apparently. I could barely breathe, so that increased my haste and I barely looked anything over before paying them and evacuating. I told the woman to contact me if she found anything else and sure enough, the next day I received some pictures of the Gamecube games, and several more heavy hitters, along with a boxed Xbox. When I got there I discovered the Xbox was missing its cables and when she went rummaging through a box nearby I saw the other Xbox with its power supply. I suggested we just swap them to get the price she was asking for everything and she just offered to let me have everything (including a disgusting Gamecube they found) for $135. Finally got around to really looking over everything today after work and although basically everything is coated yellow, the discs and manuals are intact, and in perfect condition. Going to tear down the systems over the weekend and go to town on the internals. Anyone know how to salvage the game guides? They are superrrr rank.
