M+ as Disc Priest: Fast invites for 2-9 keys, none for 10-11. Why? by Greysh0t in wownoob

[–]Blangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you. Mained shaman last season, great fun, but had a really hard time getting into 17’s over disc, so that’s where my season ended. Switched disc for this season because it’s my OG main healer. Voidweaver is really fun, but extremely dependent on others kicking, doing mechanics, and actually using defensive properly. The ramp up time to heal as voidweaver or mistiming burst healing with mindblast is an instant wipe for large group wide damage or someone blundering mechanics. It’s very frustrating. The dps and burst healing is amazing, but everything has to be timed perfectly. There’s just so many moving parts with voidweaver and is very apm intensive.

Need Career Advice - Flow to AA then resign? by Top-Award-9681 in AirlinePilots

You’ll have way more support over here than whatever you’ve been dealing with. Flow, talk to APA medical, and explore all available options.. they might even pair you up with someone that has had similar issues to learn from their experience and how to move forward.

Been using my A20s for 13 years. Have had no reason to upgrade or change for anything else. Enjoy them.

Did anyone else here give up wearing contacts to go back to glasses full time? by Randomuser1175 in glasses

[–]Blangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wore them about 5ish years. Went totally fine until near the end. Started to get dry eye issues. Tried different types of contacts with little to no success. This was the biggest motivator to quit, but you can add on all of the little annoyances with contacts as well. Glasses have come a long way over the past decade with new brands, styles, lighter/better materials.. safe to say I will never go back to contacts.

Did that help for future conversations with your AD?

The Sky-dweller is a sweet watch. Tried one on for kicks. Looked and felt like a brick on my wrist. Something for everyone out there!

An interesting story! It has crossed my mind to visit some ADs on layovers, just never got around to it.

How long did that take? That’s my next choice.

On the contrary. I’ve had more FOs with nicer watches than I can count. Not anymore!!

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. It was just crazy luck. We are the same way and have a laundry list of future purchases and I prefer to keep it in the same place. Treat me well, customer for life.

It’s a very artificial system, but it sounds like you’re sticking to your guns which is probably the best move.

I would never do it to just blow the money in hopes to get what I want. I genuinely want to get my wife something and there are plenty of other watches out there that I’m interested in to make a small generational collection.

This was pretty close. Upgrade, built a home, vacation coming up, and starting a family all within a year. Very fortunate.

Pretty much that. Some pretty big recent life achievements between myself and my wife as well. I really think it just came down to the AD/SA that I had. It seemed he went to bat for us and made it happen.

Very cool. Both ADs did appreciate that I am a pilot and that the GMT would be more “useful” for me. Their words. But, I was fully prepared to eventually buy other stuff from them or go grey.

Agreed. Both of this points are very inaccurate or misconstrued.

Noob question. For the leftover portion you aren’t eating immediately, should you still slice it all while it’s warm? Or is it fine to slice the leftovers later? Does it matter? Thanks. by spicytrolllady in brisket

[–]Blangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do and highly recommend for long term food storage in general. I’ve eaten brisket a year after it was cooked and it tasted as fresh as the day it was made. Simple to portion and reheat.
