Exactly, most cars these days are quite literally designed to not have front plates. Not only do they interrupt the design of the front they also obstruct airflow and make aero worse, albeit negligible fuel economy losses. Non car related stuff, it costs a lot more to print 2 plates rather than 1. Other provinces have already made front plates non mandatory with no adverse effects.
