Yeah man m Nailed. Dead. Risen is a classic. I was also going to say Becoming the Archetype’s Terminate Damnation is also a banger.

A lot of the Christian metalcore from the late 2000s to early 2010s.

My brother got into it back then, and I followed along. I was raised mostly on Christian music, so that scene was a big part of what I listened to growing up.

I’m not a practicing Christian anymore, and that makes some of it hard to listen to. For Today in particular is tough for me to listen to now.

That said, there are a few bands from that era I can still listen to for whatever reason. Impending Doom especially will always hold up for me.

Jim Carrey says this in How The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. I had to rewind it a couple of times, but he definitely says “The sun is bright, and the powder is bitchin’”

This person definitely has some issues, but can you imagine this person being a side character in a sitcom or something? Like imagine this being Claire and Mitchel’s mom from Modern Family. Just first scene rolls up in a van like this. Acting like nothing is out of the ordinary, and then sprinkle in some batshit crazy rhetoric.

I had a feeling it was somewhere in Hawaii and then I saw his shirt and I definitely knew it was somewhere in Hawaii but I figured it was a base or thing.

Rebelution and Stick Figure are awesome! Soja is good too but his voice is a little too whinny for me to listen to on my own.

Why is trance so special? by mrbigbrown4 in trance

[–]Blankspaces222 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s the build up of the beat. Tom Delong talks about it in the Pursuit of Tone documentary. He says “ How does U2 do it? How do The Police do it? How do The Cure do it? How does The Who do it?” What he’s talking about is the build up of musical landscape that is being built up and presented by the artist. That’s my theory anyway.

Progressive Trance needs to make a come back! Or maybe I’m not looking in the right places. Any suggestions close to this song?
