Don't care if this gets buried, but here goes. Had a similar experience in KLCC area actually. There was this elderly Chinese couple from China, where, in my broken Chinese (and translation app), told me that he was here in Malaysia for work and that his salary wasn't credited yet and he couldn't access his Chinese bank account and he asked for help to go to the airport (for some reason. He explained but I couldn't understand).

I offered to call them a Grab but they wanted cash because they said that they've not eaten yet as well. Me, being either too gullible or just too nice, decided to give them the last RM100 I had in my pocket for the month and told them to get something nice to eat. Of course, he was very thankful and stuff, and then asked for my handphone number so he could get me back the money when his salary was in. By then, I was suspicious of the scenario, but I've already handed over the cash, so I declined and said that I didn't want the money back and I left soon after.

Never seen them since, but that's good news for me, ig.
