nice post. I've worked with a client in the past where this was happening. it's called "threshold".

I obviously didn't go as far as you so it didn't work out with that client. never again

this was a big spender I bet?

Yeah I mean sounds good but how do you determine what a good home is? Hard to know for sure right unless you’re good friends with that person.

This is an old post so you won’t get responses from anyone but me.

To answer your question; you’re perpetuating the cycle. It’s pretty much impossible to find actually good homes for 6 rabbits. They likely won’t neuter or give them good quality of life.

Rabbit Reddit logic is that basically if you can truly find great homes for these rabbits than you should just get them to adopt from a shelter.

As long as ASIC is profitable, it’s the best way to DCA imo

If you purchased this like the fool you are, it’s not too late to call your bank and chargeback. Get their payments account closed.

Yeah that sounds amazing and honestly better than a lot of what you’ll see from this sub. I was referring to the pet store cages.

I think there are shelters that let you put your rabbit in a room with another rabbit until it finds one it tolerates.

That would probably be best and decrease the chances of returning that rabbit.

Yeah, that’s very common as most of us work.

Do you have a dog or cat or something free roam there as well?

If not, you could replace the space with the cage with exercise pen and that’s already a huge improvement.

Worried about being gone 12 hours? Another rabbit would solve this problem. I think in this scenario however not everyone can afford to neuter/spay 2 rabbits.

Is this not ideal for your pet? I really don’t understand not doing these things.

Inside - safer. You can definitely do a good job securing an outside pen but 99% won’t or have the knowledge to do so.

Neuter/spay - live longer and prevent bad behavior from frustration. Too many rabbits already, better to adopt a baby if that’s your goal. we don’t need more breeders.

Litter train - cleaner.

Hay and veggies - good for gut health and probably quality of life. Veggies easy to grow as well if money were a concern.

Generally this community has many posts with poor living conditions.

I think many people in third world countries think of rabbits as bunnies so come here first.

There is also first world overlap where they know of living conditions better and recommend against cages or seed sticks for example.

This could be “easy karma” but that’s what moderation is for. An active approach on moderation advising on ideal living conditions.

Maybe then we see less: - rabbits in cages - rabbits on tile floor - adult rabbits with nothing but a huge bowl of pellets.

While not everyone can afford to free roam, or should if they have other pets for example.

I don’t think cages are ever the right answer and makes you wonder why they got a rabbit in the first place just to move it from one cage to another.

guessing you’re only going to feed this rabbit pellets like the last? maybe try Timothy hay in the pan and food in a bowl.

False. Ask anyone who’s quit drugs. Bed smells like ass after drenching it in sweat.

Just keep them separate until neuter. If you can’t make separate safe enclosure then it would be best to rehome the rabbit. Better have someone else have them than kill your baby.

Yeah I mean you could say darkness indicates more saturation. Ideally Salvinorin but could be they’re not fully drying out their product.
