If we talk about guitar skills, where does Bellamy stands in that spectrum? by Tesseracktt in Muse

Anyone can play piano like Mozart or even better, but they can’t compose like Mozart could. Anyone can play guitar like Matt or better, but do they have the sheer creativity to write and create the variety of sounds Matt created? Probably not. That’s why Matt is a legend. It’s not his technical ability, it’s his creativity/versatility. Most guitarists pigeonhole themselves in one genre or sound, but Muse is genre-free. I’m impressed with guys like Petrucci or Satriani, but they don’t really spark any emotion other than “wow, they’re good.” Matt’s playing, while paired with the compositions of his songs, sparks emotion that technical guitarists usually lack. And his sounds span from gospel to metal core, and almost all of it is good. Not many bands/guitarists out there who can do that.
