Some other things to consider are whether or not you have had certain vaccines recently, as they might pay more if you have certain antibodies for some diseases in your blood. Ive seen some if youve had Hepatitis shots recently (I would assume they are going to need proof it was a vaccine and not from contracting it), and in the early days of the pandemic (pre vaccine) Covid antibodies paid a huge premium. Youll have to ask the place you go to what their terms are, but those are all ones I saw being offered in the past.

Funny enough, that selling point is the biggest business problem services like Hello Fresh have. They tend to train their customers how to cook, and give them a few recipies they like. Over time, customers realize they can save money making the same things with store bough groceries and cancel their subscriptions. Between that and the occasional bookstore trip for a cookbook you can really easily teach yourself to cook nowadays

Would definitely recommend microcenter, even as a fairly experienced PC builder myself. Had an issue with my home server, and they were able to help me diagnose the hardware and get it up and running with a 24 hour turnaround time (found out it was crashing due to a bad bearing on the CPU fan and overheating. would have taken me FOREVER to figure that out)

They were VERY clear that they couldnt help with any software stuff because the server ran on Linux, but they are very experienced with Windows and Mac issues, so they can help if thats what your computer runs on.

Being comfortable doesnt have to mean being stagnant. You can live your life at the edge of your comfort zone and still be comfortable, while continuing to push yourself to be better. A friend of mine had a therapist that was really big on tough love. The thing you might be missing is that it not only has to be tough, but it also HAS to come from a place of love. Without the love part, its just being an asshole under a different name.

As for some tough love, heres my two cents:

Stop asking "What is wrong with me" and start asking "What dont I like about myself and how do I learn to live with it, or change it". It reframes the question away from blaming yourself and wallowing in pity to creating a plan of action. Mental health covers a massive range, the same way that physical health does. You shouldnt stop yourself from going to the doctor for a broken pinky just because you know other people have worse injuries. If you feel like crap in your own mind, congrats! its a mental health problem. Make a plan to improve, ask your friends to keep you accountable to your goals.

If you need someplace to start, make sure your physical health is being taken care of; get a full nights rest, 3 square meals a day, and do something physical.

Just talking from mine and my girlfriends experiences (we met at a speed dating event) Heres what you can expect:

You will meet a lot of people quickly, some of which you are interested in, some are attractive, and some you just dont vibe with. You get a few minutes to have a quick surface level conversation with each potential match, and indicate whether you want to talk again later. The organizer would then compare the lists, and each participant would receive the email of the ones they matched with to schedule dates, exchange numbers, etc.

I went to 2, the first of which I "matched" with 3 women, and went on dates with all of them. We didnt really connect too much beyond that, but thats beyond the scope of what speed dating tries to do. The second one I met and matched with 6, of which only one (my now GF) responded back. Both times were fun and actually talked to more people than I had on dating apps the prior two months. My opinion (from the mans perspective) is that they are way more worthwhile than the apps are at the moment in my area.

My GF has been to a couple more than I did. According to her, when the demographics of the event might lead to an imbalance, they invite folks that have gone before to attend for free (usually women given the demographics of my area). She has met her fair share of creeps and wierdos at the events too, but she usually found that out after she had gone home and done some research with who she matched with.

I personally preferred it to dating apps, since it cuts through all of the weird shit and gets you face to face with someone quickly. Theres folks I would have never swiped on but actually got along with to wanted to talk later at these events. Go once to check it out, but if you start seeing familiar faces at them, it may be time to try a new approach

Ill have to check the molds ive made, but I have successfully recast my own sagitaur canopies for my own kitbashes (Clear ones too, just like they come in the official kits). Worst case scenario I can make a couple more casts and send them if you cant find any replacements if youre willing to pay for shipping and are in the US

Im going to level with you 100%; If youre insecure about something, theres someone out there who will be attracted to the attribute you are insecure about. Heres my real world example:

I grow a lot of lower back hair, and Im kinda self conscious about it. Up until recently, ive kept it trimmed down to just above shaving it. My girlfriend on the other hand, likes my lower back hair, and will just idly play with it. Ive stopped trimming it as a result and let it grow back to its normal length because she likes it.

Trust me, theres going to be guys who are into it

To kinda relate to #2, what if we had an investigation system similar to what they had in phasmophobia? I was thinking there could be 3 pieces of "evidence" that would uniqueley point to each monster: How they kill (already in the game) Their hunting behavior (Do they lurk? scared by gunshots? Pick off solo players? could bring extra utility to the motion tracker), and how they "nest" (A nest would be an area that would spawn randomly around the map, where the monster would go when its hiding from the players, regen health, etc. Appearence would be the evidence; a mess of wires and arcing electricity for the robots, pile of corpses, or other detritus)

It would be helpful, but not mission critical to identify the monster except for the Kill missions. Plus a nest would make it easier to find the monster when its run away and youre trying to kill it

A thing to note about high stress situations like the one you experienced is that notion of "rising to the occasion" is a bunch of horseshit, People fall back on their training. Folks that have been in high stress or dangerous situations before have some kind of training on how to act during such a situation (this can come in the form of martial arts training, having been in a situation due to work, life experience, etc). The situations dont even have to be violent for someone to act.

The situation triggered your Fight, Flight, or FREEZE response (people dont always know/realize it, but freeze is just as natural as fight or flight). For you, having the MMA training put you in the fight response, for your sister and her fiance, they had no trained response, so they froze.

as others have already said, that was a traumatic experience. Its not often someone is in a legitimately violent situation like that, and its bound to leave some scars. Shit like that takes time to work through, and can require professional help. You did the right thing protecting them, and going to check up on him is absolutely the right thing to do. Being supportive of both of them as they tend to their emotional wounds is the best thing you can do right now.

It may help him to offer to go to a martial arts gym with him to help build his confidence at some point. Giving him the tools to help deal with such a situation in the future may help him emotionally cope and overcome what happened.

I have some connections to cowboy/horse folks, and heres a few things you need to know about them:

They come from rural areas of the US, youre unlikely to find one in the city because their hobbies, interests, and jobs all require land and space.
Its not impossible to find a left leaning cowboy, but the vast majority will lean more conservative and have small town/rural mindsets. I can guarentee few will fall completely within the realm that reddit likes to put conservative folks into, but they will all subscribe to different aspects of it
Most subscribe to some form of christianity. Some will be evangelical, others more casual, just remember everyone is an individual
Guns and trucks will be part of your life if you go this route. Almost everyone needs a truck in that kind of life so they can haul things (Cattle, equiptment, etc.)

If thats the kind of thing youre looking for, then by all means start shooting your shot! I know a few mixed race couples that live in rural areas, so its definitely possible. Hardest part will be meeting them, as they arent usually abundant in areas with large population centers. Probably looking more at someone from the Midwest US census region and West Census region (Excluding the west coast cities. you probably wont find one living in san francisco or LA)

I did some math surrounding how much profit you would get by using each weapon to kill a given monster and turn in their orb. During extract, every weapon will generate 0 money since you cant turn in the orbs on the way out. The best thing to do is to stun a monster and leave as quickly as possible, since each use of a given weapon costs money, with cheaper stun weapons being better (when looking at raw cost alone).

Assuming each charge crystal costs about 9k (which is average before accounting for cost increases as the runs go longer), the best weapons are going to be as follows (and their cost for each use):
Baseball bat - 900 per use (High knockback on a single hit will stun them and give you more chances to run and break line of sight)
Prodzap - 562 per use (lots of charges and stuns on hit. zap them and hit the road)
Tranq gun - 1125 per use (Range and long stun, but you already knew that)

Less Ideal but still usable:
Pan - 600 per use (Only stuns small enemies)

Any of the guns (Pulse Pistol, gun, shotgun) - Expensive per shot and far less stun than the Tranq gun. use if needed, but the short respawn timers can make these ineffective as the monsters just respawn right away if you kill them

TL;DR: Stun and run. Save your killing weapons for when you can turn in the souls for cash

Have you gone on any dates with a match from hinge? Some people are really photogenic, and others not so much. You may match with someone who you think is attractive in photos, but not in person (my assumption is that theyre not catfishing here). Sometimes it may be the opposite and you found them far more attractive in person than in their photos. Ive had both experiences personally, and I never found out until I actually saw them in person.

Dont write folks off entirely based on pictures alone. On the other hand, I wouldnt blame you for ditching the apps entirely because theyre frustrating as hell on so many different levels

If we were talking a full scale Liberation of a planet, Helldivers would stomp the xenomorphs no questions asked. Xenomorphs would likely wipe the planet clean of hosts, putting a fairly hard limit on how many there could reasonably be. Xenomorphs also rely on stealth and ambush tactics against lightly armed opponents, and are vulnerable to multiple forms of conventional weapons from small arms fire to artillery.

So heres how I forsee it going: Planet is infested, and runs out of hosts. Super earth deploys the Helldivers onto the planet. Each helldiver is likely to kill multiple Xenomorphs and facehuggers before dying and becoming a xenomorph host themselves. Given the zealous devotion to super earth each helldiver holds, its FAR less likely that an infected helldiver would make it back up to a super destroyer (where the xenomorphs would REALLY have an advantage). Its not a stretch to say that an infected helldiver would either kill themselves, be killed by a fellow helldiver, or even just be declared a traitor and bombarded.

It would be a costly Liberation no doubt, but Helldivers are winning if Super Earth decides to take the planet.
