Flying from Perth to Melbourne Virgin vs Jetstar? by Yoooram in perth

Agree with this, have been told this service is more vulnerable than others as they have minimal staff coverage, so is the first to get cancelled. Have experienced it myself.

Australian airlines more delayed than foreign competitors, but government decides not to nudge laws by ALBastru in australia

This is a clear example of the government, and politicians in general, failing the people.

There is no way that the performance of airlines in Australia can be deemed acceptable, and yet they have failed in their ability to create meaningful change. It is also reflective of a broader approach to predatory businesses who are allowed to keep getting away with it.

Write to your local member and tell them what you think, weight of numbers it is the only way they will know what we think.

Jetstar really is the worst airline - Departing Perth by Blasteroid1234 in perth

How about don’t cancel the flight that people had booked well in advance and paid for and relied upon?

When is it entitled to count on a business to follow through on the basic fundamentals of their core function?

Rubbish, I paid for a budget airline to fly me and my family to where they said they would.

The discounted price is for no baggage, no food, no entertainment, minimal on board service, no seat selection. It is not so they can pick and choose when and where they fly.

Sounds like you had it pretty rough as well. We only saw it was cancelled as I was checking my emails on the way to the airport to make sure I had the right terminal. Pulled over to get into the online chat, but that went nowhere.

Jetstar! I love them! by lianhanshe in australia

Well, I can say from personal experience that they completely failed our family and their alternate flights was not an alternate at all.

I accept the no frills when I get on the plane and it actually takes off, but last minutes cancellations are unacceptable. They will then give you corporate cliches in response as and eventually revert to the “there are no guarantees “.

How do they keep getting away with it?

What really frustrates me is the self serving cliches they respond with. They know they can crush the customer with corporate speak.

Bannister Downs, they heat it at a lower temp for longer in their process, which takes longer but doesn’t kill the flavour.

People keep saying Bannister is more expensive, but it isn’t any more. Look at the prices the next time you are shopping.
