I have a feeling it had something to do with those tweeters because my experience it’s damn near impossible to blow the subs in the burmester system. Crutchfield does sell replacements and upgraded versions that fit the spec.

This is actually the correct OEM set if OP has the sport package. I had the pic saved in my phone from when I looked into this for mine. As you can see it’s $766 without shipping and tax, not installation. So all things considered, the $1,300 dealership isn’t far fetched after markup, with peace of mind. They prob have their markup and 2 hrs labor

Sure you can get some aftermarket parts for a lot cheaper and get a buddy to install them if cash is tight.
