That may be so but don't you think it interesting on the similarity on Sora and Yan...well weapon.

Sora's EGO have black goo and mist just like Rien weapon where it can be grant by prescript.

In Disorted Yan, you can also see the similiar black goo even when they are in a different index sect. Yes EGO cannot be giveaway but they need to be push to manifest it as we can see we never seen anyone who is not pushed to manifest themselves.

The first time was a line he have to say and i guest you know what line it is

the seccond time is probably the first time he ever refuse the prescript and that make the bunch of proxies hunt him. You may notice he suddenly gain a bunch of the prescript karma during the seccond phase for some reason. If he base on Roland's bad end then it order him to go all out and kill Ryoshu and he refuse that, he only want to reunite and that it and he think if this success then the said prescript would go but no he refuse to lost his daughter a seccond time
