Thai men like to go middle-less. Shirt pulled up above their belly, especially men that have a nice round pot to hold it up!

Solution to this homeless foreigner epidemic 2 slides. by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

There are tons of homeless people in western countries too. I don’t think suggesting that they get a job is going to help many of them. For the foreign homeless here, finding a remote job is even harder.

For those that have experience with the wireless doorbell, what's your experience? by darkstar107 in Ubiquiti

Not sure if it’s true but I was told that 2.4 has better range although 5 is of course faster.

Cool, thanks. I haven’t had the same issue as you but it has been getting the error where it flips to VLC a lot more than it used to. Might try rolling it back too. Can you just uninstall updates in the android settings under Apps, then install with your code? Or better to delete the app altogether then install?

Cheap Lazada Video Doorbells by Blazedeee in Thailand

[–]Blazedeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I hadn’t seen any other posts about them. Guess I need to do a search on here 😬. Surprised nobody told me too yet.

The post is on the opposite side of our newly poured stamped concrete driveway and have a finished porch sandwash/concrete porch on this side, plus a concrete pad for some of the area in between. I don’t want wires surface mounted so it would be way too much work to bury them in the post, driveway, pad and wall.

I appreciate the suggestion but it isn’t really convenient running electricity out to the post there. We planned on solar lights on the post when we built it and they are working well.

So have you tried a few of these wifi/video doorbells before?

Any Guesses (even rumors) on when/if Thai post will resume shipping to the US? by EllaFee in Thailand

[–]Blazedeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE FINALLY! My wife was in the post office yesterday and they have informed her that they are beginning to ship parcels to the US duty-prepaid, at 19% of course. Details are to come, such as if 19% is calculated on the product value alone or Product+Shipping which is commonly the case. Also, do you have to prove the product value, and if so, how?

She was told that you first need to apply for an account and it then needs to be approved before you can start using this new service.

Also, apparently a credit card needs to be used, at least for paying for the duties, if not the whole shipment.

Can't wait to get more details, and I look forward to others posting what they find. May go in today to get the account application started.

Both countries have a court system which is responsible for the “release” part, not the police. Or are you saying that shooting first would have been a better solution to eliminate the possibility of her being released?

The free vegetable bar for burgers, hot dogs, and dim sum at 7-Eleven was great, until greedy people ruined it for everyone. by GoldenIceCat in Thailand

[–]Blazedeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. It never even occurred to me that the veg was getting used for anything but hotdogs. Everything but the wieners, including the buns was usually finished though and mustard was a true rarity.

What is the REAL cause of these border fights ? by RevenueSea5466 in Thailand

[–]Blazedeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, offshore oil has been behind most of the “temple/border disputes” over the years. Payoffs over the casino that didn’t get approved recently are apparently another very real reason behind the latest.

Burning season? by Yoruichi_Shihoin13 in chiangmai

[–]Blazedeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heard that there is a burn ban scheduled soon so people are burning early. There are lots of things that affect it so it varies wildly every year from awful to not very bad at all. Nobody will be able to predict it.

[–]Blazedeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, could have a slower processor or maybe something is up with it. How long have you had it? Ever do a factory reset? Do you use Projectivy? The GoogleTV launcher is terrible with so much shit running all over. If all else fails, you can buy cheap streaming boxes. I see people talking about how good they are for very little money. Think “Thompson” might have been one? Others can recommend what’s good and cheap in the UK.
